As a spurs fan, we aren't playing well and it's not looking good but we're getting results, but the big thing is that the forwards aren't linking up like we know they can. So what I would say is we're getting results playing way below what we can play and we say that last season, so there is still more to come

Yea I dont think it's a big deal right now that spurs aren't playing great. Conte has never really played amazing attacking football. He's always been a defensive coach who would much rather hold a 1-0 lead than to try and go score 5 every game. And it's brought him a lot of success in his career. (Domestic success) I don't know how the club will feel about him not caring about the UCL. He's notorious for not rotating so I wouldn't be shocked if they go out in the group stage. But I'm sure the board was aware of that.
@timlett99
@timlett99 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I personally don’t think it is a massive deal as Kulu will eventually come back into the team and Son who has really just looked off the pace almost every game once they start getting it together they’ll take off like we saw last season. You really can’t bet against Conte either he’s truly one of the best managers out there but has his flaws which have been exposed as of late due to numerous issues that are able to be solved

I could genuinely listen to Pat talk ball all day. He’s just so intelligent, objective and logical it’s unbelievable how bad other pundits are at their job. He also brings out the best in others I mean listen to the conversations they had about Arsenal in this, it’s immaculate. No shade to Chris and Joe either they both bring other things to the table as well but the way Pat articulates and presents things is genuinely special and better than 99% of others who cover the sport.

The evolution of the Liverpool midfield maybe? Rumors that Bellingham is on the radar for R. Madrid. IF Liverpool were to miss out on him next summer, who do they go for to rejuvenate that midfield? Seeing as this could be Henderson and Milner's last year at the club. They'd be losing Milner, Hendo and Arthur in the summer.

Exciting game Should have been a pen to liverpool for handball Mistakes across the board from trent,thiago ,van dijk, matip, The problem with liverpool is that they never played like city to expect a real no.9 to fit in without changing the style The shape was the same 433 however the style and direction of play has been out of wack. Having to play elliot, a winger who wants to get into the same areas as salah and trent but not running back to cover like hendo Robertson has been on a decline since gini left. Thiago is a fantastic technical player but thats a different roll Salahs shot numbers have been down with his area being clogged by trent and elliot so he has to go central but now theres a actual no.9 there who doesnt drop to the edge of the box like firmino Everything will be out of wack until the players learn their new roles in the way klopp wants to play now maybe a 4321 or a 442

Watching this after the Liverpool v Arsenal game and I have to say, Joe was spot on. Liverpool played 4-2-4 and odegaard had all the space in the world. The midfield was over run and they blasted Liverpools right hand side

Liverpool wont be going 4-3-3. It will most likely be 4-2-3-1 :D

may aswell call this “3 stat merchants decide whose doing well this season based on stats alone” to say diaz hasn’t been good for liverpool is crazy, so far this season he’s looked better than mane at the start of last season, i can tell they haven’t watched liverpool because whilst firmino has good numbers he’s played well in 3 games total, the rest of the time he looks poor

Pat can be extremely cerebral and intellectual but then just dumb because he hates on united, the point is made but he exaggerates, Antony scored 2 goals in 3 starts and sancho has 3 goals this season so far, in a team that is still learning the new system and learning to play with each other saka has dropped off a cliff and has no excuse

It’ll be 3-2 with Arsenal winning. 2-0 for Arsenal at the half. Liverpool will get a goal back. Arsenal goes to 3 and Liverpool goes to 2 towards the end but its too late. Arsenal are better defensively than most of the teams they’ve faced so even though Liverpool will try to catch up in the 2nd half because they start slow. They’ll only get 2. Liverpool are terribly defensively and in the first half so they’ll concede at least 2 and 1 in the 2nd half. Arsenal can score goals. They don’t score a ton though so i see 3 maybe 4 at the very most
