It's sad to see Jedah so out of character here. The problem is that he LIKES to act evil in Infinite, while in fact, in Vampire Savior, he thinks he is the savior of all living things, specially demons (hence the title of the game, Vampire Savior, it's how Jedah refers to himself), thats why he do what he does, because he want to gather all souls into one, single powerful entitdy, so everyone can be one, and supreme. Did he lost his marbles? Yes, he did, he is CRAZY, but he didn't though himself as "evil".

Morrigan's pleas imply that, arguably because of thr Soul Stone, Jedah has become overzealous about "saving everyone" from Ultron Sigma that he's overdoing it (i.e. a billion souls) and is ignoring who he's attacking, despite his "Savior status". Morrigan is "anti-evil" enough to not go this far (still being a soul stealer), and dislikes Jedah for doing enough to break the Worlds' order.

Allow me to refine this idea: Ghost Rider grabs you and you still get the “look into my eyes” animation, only this time it zooms in to a burning hell scape (heh). Your opponent looks around in fear, and then thousands of souls come rushing out of the flames to take pot shots at you. After multiple hits, Ghost Rider punches you in the face to end the super.

I kinda like them using the Symbiote to briefly turn Spidey evil but like with Zero, it should've lasted more since the heroes outnumber the villains 24 to 6. Making Spidey and Zero strong recurring villains that are stronger than normal and thrash the villains would help the whole heroes vs villains dynamic, especially for X. Ultron Sigma did it to Thor. Gives X and I dunno Chris to have a reason to want to get them back to normal. Or if they delayed the game, had Venom also be kidnapped as a part of the experiment, wanting revenge on Jedah but when the monster is released and Spidey gets hit with the Symbiote, now its Venom who's the protagonist and Spidey's the antagonist. Wasted idea. As for the Jedah and Death reveal, that was perfect. They just never really explained how Jedah even got there.

Honestly the Symbiote being good actually makes sense. Venom actually has a pretty big Hero Complex. I like the idea of Spidey being turned evil by the Soul Stones power, but Venom doesn't want it. Venom has different characteristics depending on who it is bonded to. So I think it would be cool for like a quarter of the game Spidey is evil but Venom is keeping him in check. With Zero the opposite is happening. Zero wants to go wild but his relationship with X always stops him. The Wily programming wants to kill X but the Zero on the inside is fighting. Eventually they still get cured but Venom creates his own body and becomes the black suit Spider-Man while Zero joins the main roster. Spidey is still down due to having his body controlled and adrenaline drained. Thus Black Suit takes his place until he comes back on the roster. Eventually Venom sacrifices itself but comes back in the finale and is hinted to become Venom again. Further hinting at a Venom DLC story, but no they screwed it up.

@@danielmaster8776 To be honest I just write Fanfiction. I'm used to rewriting events to make sense. I'm still not the best but I had this idea for awhile. As a Fighting Game player it's a sin that the story mode is this bad. Never give Disney full authority, they hopefully learned their lesson with this and Star Wars. This game is the last Jedi of MvC. Great ideas but they pandered too much to one side and forgot what they were doing it for. Inevitably disappointing all of the fans and pissing on a legendary franchise. The game is good though and actually redeemable. Sadly right after it came out DBFZ made it look like shit by doing everything it should have done right. A pity because the Gameplay is great and a good return to form. Sadly DBFZ was also the new Marvel 3, and it kicked ass. Even though the story was new, it didn't compromise the integrity of the characters. Frieza was still Frieza, Goku was still Goku and even if it was a slog it was better than Infinite's. I also really loved the dialogue, it was genuinely funny.

She could easily drain them dry into empty husks if she wanted to, but fortunately she doesn’t hold anything against humanity. She’s just naturally seductive and thrill-seeking as Capcom’s version of a succubus.

I don't understand why Morrigan acts concerned towards Jedah as if he were a friend of hers. In the original game (Darkstalkers 3) Jedah's main objective was to create a god to wipe out the world and replace it with a new one with him in charge, one of his reasons was because he was at war with the demon lords of the Darkstalkers which included Morrigan herself to the point he devised a plan to split her soul which became a being of it's own, Lilith, in order to weaken her and have Lilith tricked into killing Morrigan because she was the most direct threat to his plan. And here Morrigan acts worried towards him and states that _he's corrupted by the soul stone_ when he creates another monster to attempt to kill everyone again. Is like if both Zero and X were surprised that Sigma was the main villain and their attitude towards him were of an old comrade rather than a psycopath that tried to kill them multiple times.

15:13 Although it is too late, maybe there is an explanation about that infamous line. Long time ago the Infinity Gems (now known as Infinity Stones) had a different pattern of colors compared to current ones, and the Mind Stone/Gem was actually blue, but for some reason they decided to switch colors for the MCU, so then the comics had to couple with the movies But it seems that Capcom was not aware of the changes so when they completed the script for story mode, Marvel shows them the Infinity Stones colors and Capcom realized they had messed it up, so without time for change the scene they just put the Mind Stone as yellow and then the joke made 0 sense (it seems that the original idea was Mega Man X receiving the Blue Mind Stone and there was the color joke). In fact, Zero got the Power Stone for that scene (which originally was red) and Iron Man got the time stone (originally orange) so there was originally a joke about color sync that was screwed.

I... genuinely adore the Ultron and Sigma interactions. First because they only just _get_ Sigma's character - I mean he's honestly not that complex, but it's still cool - and second because both he and Ultron legit talk like AIs. Like "yeah we could kill each other since we both have a virus thing that would easily override the other, but it would be a shame". The whole comparison of their code, then Sigma's body and his lack of attachment to it, then the alliance, Ultron shooting for violence, and Sigma being the one to propose something more manipulative in nature. Like, I would've loved to have more scenes with these two talking to each other within their united body, it's pretty fun stuff. _sigh_ people have been saying that for a while in the comments already, but goshdarn it man. So many fun concepts to work with, overshadowed by how bad the overall execution is.

What they could've done was make it last for the while. Symbiote Spidey beats the crap out of Frank and Haggar, and Chris feels its his personal responsibility (since from what little I know of Resident Evil Chris has lost a lot of partners in the franchise) since he kinda caused it, and Chris asks one of the Marvel heroes to teach him more about Spidey so they have a rematch in the future. They built up Dante vs Jedah.

@AT Productions I actually like FighterZ story mode. Gotenks and the Ginyu Force arguing over poses, Cell verbally ripping Teen Gohan apart, Goku unintentionally flirting with 21. And Frieza and Cell do try to overtake everything, only to get screwed over. Plus, 16 being revealed as the reborn image of Gero and 21's child is sweet and sad. The problem with FighterZ story mode is that the clone army doesn't have any dialogue, which is a shame since making evil versions of the protagonists could lead to their darker versions having some great dialogue and moments with and against each other.

I think it was because Capcom didn't knew that Marvel changed the colors for Infinity Stones, since Marvel Super Heroes used the original ones seen in the comics, and for that game the Mind Stone was actually blue, so if they followed original colors from the comics with X receiving the Blue Mind Stone then the joke would make sense.

I think my issue with mvci's story is that they really are lacking in terms of making certain characters feel like themselves and the exceptions stand out only because theyre so rare... like rocket, thanos and jedah have a lot of their unique flare and the moment where ryu's satsui no hado intrigues thanos says so much; but characters like morrigan, ghost rider, chris, and even cap got SHAFTED in the character department. They feel shoe horned in and im stuck waiting for moments that they act like themselves interacting with other characters and it just doesnt happen. Moreover, they leave dante and X in a shitty middle ground where they tried to display their character but did it so poorly that it comes off as a cheap imitation with wasted potential. There's no moment when cap and iron man heroically lead the assault front, there's no chris redfield being a resourceful badass when his muscles arent enough, theres no morrigan flirting up a storm, all the snark dante should have was handed over to rocket, and poor zero got turned into a 1-off, mini-boss without any further displays of his badassery.

The characters had MINIMAL dialog in that game but they retained all their respective flavors without eating too much screen time and distracting from the story that sakurai made for them. Honestly props to him for that, but it should be even more possible in a game where the characters have a lot more chancea to speak.

I think the Mind Stone joke was a reference to how in the comics, the Mind Stone was originally blue and the Space Stone was yellow. You can see that in some of the earlier games Capcom made, like Marvel Super Heroes. I think originally they were going to use the comic book colors but at some point in development they switched them to the movie colors for more MCU synergy. Marvel did the same thing to the Stones in the comics around the time Infinite came out. Or maybe the writer had no idea about the movie colors and just assumed they would use the comic colors. Either was it's just baffling that everyone was so lazy, they didn't notice that the line made no sense now that the Stones switched colors.

Loki was going to be the only villain in Avengers and Thanos was added in at Joss Whedon's request for a surprise reveal. So now everyone working on the films knew that Infinity Gauntlet would be the endgame and they needed to start adding the Stones, and the Space Stone was made blue to match the Tesseract, because that was the stone with the closest powers to it. At least I think that's why it happened. It's not a big issue for me so I'm cool with the change. The fact that no one caught the color change while making this game is just very sad.

You see the Tesseract in the comics is specifically called the *Cosmic Cube,* considering the name the color was likely changed to match the Cosmic Cube’s typical coloration, so to me it was likely an intentional decision. We also have to keep in mind that the colors were changed in ways that make sense in context. The Mind Stone for example was made yellow because Vision’s Solar Gem in the comics is yellow and you can’t really change that. And it was unlikely that Thanos’ inclusion was added at the last minute, he’s a major Marvel villain and it’s unlikely they wouldn’t have gotten to him eventually, he was their only real choice at the time since other major villains like Doctor Doom and Magneto were at Fox.

Looking at Dante in these cutscenes, I'm 90% convinced that they originally intended to put DmC "Dino" in at an early point in the game's development, judging from how his face looks and from his lack of charismatic charm that he carries in his games. But when sales of Definitive Edition didn't do as well as DMC4SE, Capcom went "fucking shit, quick, put the white-haired one in!". So we ended up getting something that looks like Classic Dante, but is basically a wounded version of him unable to be at full power.

The mind stone was, you guessed it, blue, but changed to yellow in the MCU.
