Purpose of life is to find the real purpose, and once found not to get confused about it.

That’s a bold statement. There are insightful and meaningful lives lived throughout the world. India exists with a painful degree of poverty. Spiritual pursuits which ignore the needs of the poor are not more “meaningful”. Accepting life and it’s tragic realities may be a personal path but it offers nothing to motivate social improvements and welfare.

Look at the Westerner who in typical Western fashion got immediately offended as soon as he read a hint of criticism))) Funny people these Westerners, they feel they have the moral right to brutally criticise everyone and everything on the planet but are so easily angered as soon as someone dares to question that the Westerner gets everything right

Actually this same sort of Indian philosophy was used in the book subtle art of not giving a fck . The thinking is that simply one should not be materialistic , maybe it boosts the economy but it doesn't give human a long term happiness. Lifting people out of poverty is good ,increasing our income is good but it should not be come at cost of inner happiness. One should not run after money and do what gives us satisfaction

What has poverty which is a recent construct (in this context) that emerged literally in the last few hundred years has to do with spirituality & philosophy which in the Indian context is several thousands years old? Spirituality in India has always been a quest inwards...i would suggest that if you haven't seen/read enough, first see/read before forming opinions....

The best way to get the meaning of life is to think more about death. Death is weird it makes you discover the worth of all you can't have back.

@@kelvinpraises no it's not, that's life. A natural and inevitable process. You should understand that immediately in life. Death is far from weird. Everything dies sooner or later. Its the only natural course really..

In Buddhism, death is just a part of human's life (birth, old age, sickness, death). Imo, it's a natural life cycle and not weird at all.

Well if you live like a totally Rick Random you easily get to anarchy, like why not kill a man, Rob a bank or drink a bottle of whiskey every day. Meaning is of cause something you create yourself. Life is experience and change, that can be meaning enough.

There is no purpose to life. it's all in the belief that there is some sort of purpose that propels us through life. We all reach the end with the same questions or regret that we could of done more. it also show us how trapped we are that we have to look for some sort of answer to a question we already have the answer to and that is we want to change our lives for the better.

Agree, this just showed the tip of the tip of the iceberg. There is much more to it. The West believes that living a comfortable life is the goal of life. Indian philosophy goes deeper on who am i and why do I exist and what is my purpose. Unfortunately a lot of Indians also don't know much about this philosophy.

The USA is the most charitable country in the world and the third saddest country in the world. Altruism will not give you what you're looking for, although, it is nice and we should continue doing that. The purpose of life is just live and connect with yourself and others as you feel appropriate.

CAF World Giving Index 2021 : 1. Indonesia 2. Kenya 3. Nigeria 4. Myanmar 5. Australia 6. Ghana 7. New Zealand 8. Uganda 9. Kosovo 10. Thailand US, which ranked 1st in the world in giving for the years 2009-2018 but fell to 19th in the world in 2020. However, US was not the only high-level giver to drop. In fact, many countries that landed in the top 10 most charitable countries in previous years slid completely out of the top 20. According to Charities Aid Foundation Chief Executive Neil Heslop, these changes are not a sign that people's willingness to donate decreased, but that their opportunity to donate diminished, largely as a result of pandemic-related lockdowns.
