Alan talks about what YHWH's Word says about self defense ... it's not as simple as most churches would like you to think.

This gives me great shalom; I've been falsely accused of being "mean" for standing up for what's right and getting mad at sin even when great things come of it through Mashiach. I need to be super careful about being angry and NOT SINNING, but I found this teaching a great comfort to me. Thank you, Alan, again and again. Shalom, KG

+Karen Castro It's true ... many people only want to hear the Word say what makes them feel comfortable; they don't want to have to think or open their minds up to a greater understanding. I have a video about those kind of people ... talking to them is like talking to a brick: kzbin.info/www/bejne/maqsp59jaZaZd9U

Great Word Alan - Many forget that a text taken out of context becomes a pretext. We see so much of this today - not only in churches, but in the people we encounter. They fail to take the whole counsel of Yahweh and differentiate between the Western mindset (linear thinking) and the Eastern mindset (whole counsel). This is what leads to confusion and the concern there is contradiction in Scripture. Praise Abba I learned a long time ago - if I think there is a contradiction, it is a failure on my part to rightly divide and perceive the truth. I make mistakes, Elohim does not. Blessings - Sherry

I often thought I was being a rebel to religious teaching by standing firm and warning people to be advised' If anyone crosses the threshold of my home to hurt or threaten any within my house 'they would not do it twice'. I have a literal sword in my closet! Defending loved ones is absolutely a result of loving. It is great to hear it said out loud by a true b'nai Elohim.

Alan, It is truly amazing how our Abba directs the lives of those who are His. Just recently I pondered about demons working in the lives of my loved ones and you come out with a Word Study on that subject. I recently pondered about self defense and how the secular world's teaching clashed with that of my walk before Elohim. I am 3rd generation Marine of ten years service to my country. I was taught to kill my country's enemies without hesitation and to protect my brother's back as he protected mine. Then Abba led me to study martial arts and I progressed all the way to and obtaining a 2nd degree Black Belt. My wife asked me why I do this and I told her I felt compelled to learn how to defend myself and others as well. Turning the cheek to me only means self control when tempted to do the worldly knee jerk reaction to a situation. Learning martial arts helped to teach me self control so that I would first seek Abba when it comes to using force, i.e., Psalm 82:4

I had to shave it off when I had to look for a new job. After September 2014 when I no longer was hire-able (due to age and over experience) I started growing it back. Alan, your story of defending a stranger reminded me of not to long ago when I was traveling around the world doing my thing servicing government contracts. I was with a fellow technician who is Afro-American and we just sat down in a bus to take us to the airport at the car rental place. He sat next to an elderly "white" woman and I sat across from them. I was wearing my Marine Corps Veteran hat like I usually do when he turned to the woman next to him and said to her, "Aren't you afraid to sit next to a black man like me?" He was a bit intimidating in size and looks, much like me, when she looked at him then looked over at me and said to him, "not with a Marine sitting across from me I am not!" I just smiled back at her in agreement but I didn't let her know I knew that black man and that he was just having fun with her. It didn't matter to me that I am a Marine, only that Abba made me a warrior for Him to protect others when He moves me to do so.

It has long been thought that the crack results from the tip of the whip traveling fast enough to break the sound barrier and create a sonic boom. But the new findings suggest otherwise. Apparently, it's the loop in a whip that is the real noisemaker.

I appreciate this message Alan! This past weekend, the small church we attend hosted a CCW class, for the purpose of obtaining a license, and for all the reasons you mentioned in your video. About 20 of us completed the class and went to the shooting range, (part of the completion of the class, but will continue to practice!). Most of the pastors already had theirs, (they are also hunters and outdoors men) and one of them had a friend who came to teach the class, owns his own gun shop here in Missouri, and who also walks with Elohim. The purpose of this was for this very reason... self defense, and if needed, to defend someone else in trouble. It couldn't have come at a better time. And again, the timing of your video this week, makes me smile. Back in December while we were sleeping, we had some individuals break into our home. For reasons I won't disclose here, I am sure of the fact that they were not here to steal, but to harm. We did not have a weapon in our home at that time, so it really made us realize that it was time, and to never assume it will never happen to you! So what happened you ask? Never fear...Yeshua was here! I was awoken NOT by the sound of shattered glass, or by the announcement of the front door opening, but by the small sound of the dead bolt being unlocked and then my front door shutting...! I was able to call the police, and they got here in record time, which was a miracle in itself because of where I live, and the people dropped their keys in my yard, which the police found! This resulted in these individuals losing the vehicle they were driving. The police said was it apparent they were also living in it. It was parked around the corner from my house, and was going to be used for their plan of escape after they did whatever they were planning to do-- can't get too far with no keys! They also lost a pet dog that was in the vehicle, mail from a previous address, and everything else they owned that was in the vehicle. It was also apparent they were drug users... Now how is that for justice? Elohim is so good and true to His Word! As far as I know, these people have never been apprehended, and because the vehicle was stolen from a car lot, (It's a mystery to me how they had keys for it then) so the registration was of no help. But I know this... Elohim intervened on our behalf! And he saved us from harm! I pray for these individuals. I pray they come to know the love the Father has for them, and that they will turn from their wicked ways, seek Him, and that their lives be changed. And in the meantime, we are going to be better prepared, if the need arise, inside or outside of our home! Thanks again Alan! Love your teachings!

While I was praying for encouragement regarding abomination I'm expected to "respect" in my life, I was given Yeshayahu 54:17. It got me thinking about this teaching regarding being instructed to sell stuff to pay for defensive weapons if we don't have any. But, given that the inheritance of the servants of YHWH is that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, how does this fit together?
@WatchAlan
@WatchAlan 8 жыл бұрын
+Kar Giver It simply means what it says, KG. No weapon formed against YHWH's Called Out Ones will succeed and every rotten accusation against them will be exposed for the garbage that it is. Whether you have a weapon or not. Also, just because Yahshua said to sell some stuff and buy a weapon ... that doesn't mean you must; it is not a commandment.

Alan Horvath; I have been having trouble in my marriage. He is a super loving person but when we disagree he seems to be right no matter what. When I try to let it go because I am horrible at retelling what I have learned, so I get all confused and by that time my husband will call me stupid or I need to get a dictionary or I am wrong about what I am explaining of what I have learned even when it is fact. If I can't remember every detail then I am wrong about the whole subject. I get anxiety and my heart will start pumping hard so I just say nevermind I don't want to keep talking about it and it's not important. Or I say ok you are right I am wrong just to stop him from baggering me on how i can't remember anything so I probably don't know what I am talking about. But he will follow me around trying to keep the arguing going and he won't stop trying to prove me wrong till I just want to punch him in the face. I hate that I can not control my anger. I will not ever punch him but the feeling of hate in me is strong even though i love him very much. I have been praying on this about me for a long time but I feel that my desire to fight back verbally because of being told I know nothing and I need to learn what a word means, instead of listening to the content of what I am talking about he will focus on the word i used wrong and I am talking that this is about everything I try to have a conversation about. He used to be very spiritual but he made the choice to believer there is no Creator and if there was then he wouldn't like him. So you can see my dilemma, because I want to share the truth with him but it turns into an argument that I can not handle. Am i doing the right thing by stopping the conversation and going off and praying for control and asking for forgiveness for allowing myself to get so mad? I am at the point that I don't talk about anything political, medical, spiritual, personal opinions of instances in life etc. Cause nothing I say is going to be right in his mind so it will be an opposing conversation no matter what it is. Unless I take his side on everything he thinks and believes in then we can talk. Ugh, sorry I talk to much when sharing personal stuff. Like I said, he is very kind to me as long as I don't try to teach him anything and that is not an exaggeration.

Alan, as much as I love you and your understanding and teaching of the Father's Word I find I cannot agree to the carrying of weapons. If Yahshua being the Truth, the Light and the Way surely we should follow his example. In my very limited knowledge of the Word I cannot remember Yahshua being associated with any weapon other than the sword from his mouth, which I understand to mean a sharp tongue. Anyone who carries a weapon has the Devil close by, waiting to lead them astray, humans can't be trusted. Love the Father with all your heart and mind and love your neighbour does not go hand in hand with a weapon, we can see that with ISIS who love their god with a rifle in their hand. In Britain most of us do not want the carrying of weapons, unfortunately we seem to be following you in the States. You have the right to bare arms so you probably need to carry them to protect yourselves. May Elohim be with you.

Dear Brother Alan, I wonder if you can help me understand something. The davar chet-yod is pronounced "high" or chai which means life or living, I am finding it hidden in the Tanach, for instance I am that I am in the hebrew has the word for life Eh" chai" yea or chet yod right in the center, also the word Eloheem if analyzed has the chet yod in the center as in aleph lamed chet yod mem, also the entire book of Malachai or king of life. And many more, our AlephTav is a living El- Chai -m and this word divides into 3 parts Father Aleph, Chai the life and mem for Ruach Ha Kodesh. Shalom

I once heard that the scripture of turning the other cheek was completely lost to us in meaning as opposed to the way in which Christ intended. In His time, in Israel, an open handed slap was meant as one thing while being slapped with the back of a man's hand had a different connotation in social terms. I can't remember now which was which, but apparently one way (say perhaps the back-handed slap) was a personal affront or insult, that was intended for humiliation. The other way was a physical attack somehow carrying a more threatening intent, perhaps in a situation in which an adversary is standing before us and trying to intimidate us into allowing him to walk over us and take whatever he wishes and do whatever he will. As I said, I don't remember now which way was which, but your representation of this scripture in context of how it was to be understood lies firmly in the same precise territory. Personal insults, humiliations of trivial nature, these should be ignored and we should move past them, without any response. When the issue is a matter of gravity, as in the case of physical injury, or danger, then yes, we ought to stand our ground and be willing to do so with the Lord fighting beside us. We never face going into battles alone, not with Satan directly, or those who serve him. With the love of Yahshua I thank you for doing these studies with us, and I always receive a very great blessing from each and every one.

+shekitten7456 Thank you for that, my friend ... and, yes, I would agree that a slap using the back of the hand is definitely the more insulting one - it says to any man that he is like a woman, unable to take a true manly blow!

Do you have a video on drug and alcohol use? People that I know are always trying to justify the use of all. I would be really interested to know the scriptural take on it. Thank you

I don't think I've done a video on it, Carrie ... but this is a GREAT question to ask at one of our Live Fellowships (every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). Tonight ... at 7:00 PM Eastern, we will be LIVE (until around 8:00 PM) and you can ask your question then! Please do!

Carrie Lambert I know Alan wouldn’t mind me recommending his video, “Demonic Strongholds”. ☺️. Excellent resource for those struggling with addictions.

in my humble understanding...no prophet...Not even MESSIAH used weapons to defend. The ONLY weapon HIS should have is THE WORD. SWORD OF TRUTH.

Since we are on the subject, can you give me any advice as to a time when Police might be carrying out unconstitutional orders to disarm the public - should we resist, by force, the police? What think ye? I knopw a large percentage of the public whill resist to the point of confrontation and even shooting it out.

+Jim Furr Depends. At that moment it will come the question: "What should I do, my Father YHWH?". We have to chose His Way. We have to prepare to hear His voice, loud and clear.

Alan, whats the difference in the name Yahweh and Yahveh ? Is there a difference? Please forgive the spelling.
@WatchAlan
@WatchAlan 8 жыл бұрын
+Iseetroughyou57 Either one is a Germanic, wicked, distortion of His Name. Yahveh is the same as Yahweh (say "Yah-way") ... the "W" is more ancient than the "V" is all. The proper spelling is as He gave it - YHWH ... and the proper pronunciation is as you hear me pronounce it - "Yuh-whuh."

Thanks Alan, can I ask what can we do about protecting our family if armed officers violate the constitution and come into our home to forcefully take our weapons and start physically assaulting our family, how do we deal with mind controlled federal officers?

Completely wrong and unbiblical !!! If self defense is how you thought that way , the most high YAHAWAH, his holy word holy Son YAHAWAHSHI HAMAShIACH , Prophets, and Apostles were used some heavenly weapons to destroy anyone who stands against them. By any means Our self defense is YAHAWAH With his Ten Commandments and the commandments of his Son YAHAWAHSHI. Done . of course pastors priests and all religions they need self defense weapons because they are working for their belly living not for truth.
