I feel like Prince enjoyed messing with MJ, but on some level deeply respected him as an artist. It's just that when you have two fierce rivals who're both young and on top of the world, the competitiveness has a meaner edge to it. I'd bet money that the older they got, the more they appreciated having each other as rivals throughout a great era of music.

Before that, there needs to be separate movies about each of them... and since there’s already a movie about Michael’s early life in the Jackson’s up to Thriller, the movie would have to be strictly about his solo career. Which I think needs to be done someday if there’s any actor who can do him justice (that’s a hard one) but unfortunately, the only way I see them making a movie on Michael’s life is if some of the Leaving Neverland doc is publicly debunked with a successful rebuttal documentary or something.

They were different kinds of talent. But it's nice to see how deep down Prince did really admire and respect Michael Jackson. I think they really respected eachother.

You have two big stars and naturally there will be rivalry and perhaps it pushed both of them. Back then I was a DJ and I tell people that all of us DJs owe MJ for those great dancefloor hits. I always loved how he entertained and he was more than a singer he was also a great dancer. He was the King of Pop. James Brown recognized both of them and he knew that they were influenced by him no doubt. Prince was more the musician. We see that on his Musicology album. Drums, keyboards, guitar, vocals ... seemed like Prince could do it all. His song writing was also good with some groundbreak stuff and he was not afraid to experiment. I saw them both in concert several times over their career. I would say that Prince was heavy on the music, lighter on the dancing and entertaining. Michael was lighter on the music but real heavy on the dancing and entertainment at his shows.

The amazeing thing that people don't even realize is,there is only one reason why people compare and hold the two up so high.(there the only two black male artist that didnt look like your average black man)yep, I said it.they were far from the main stream black man.think about it.they we're singers,not rappers,they were performers, not lip syncers,they had long hair,not college cuts.they had fair skin,not dark.yep,I said it.(they weren't your average black man,other than the above,the two had nothing in common.

That is literally not the reason why... Like... At ALL 😂😂 Their music is similar to each other and they came at a time where synthesized music was big. Not rap yet since it was still building itself. So no it’s not just cause they’re both light skinned black men... There... I said it 🙊

Plus their feminine demeanors, their high pitched feminine voices, their feminine appearance, theatrics, and dancing. The only thing they didn't have in common are their names. They had more in common than other common comparisons like Mariah and Whitney, Aretha and Patti, Christina and Britney, Madonna and Gaga, etc.
@rossmiles45924 жыл бұрын
@@ThatGuy-ff1tc if you think there music is similar you haven't heard either one sing.there music is nothing alike,and they were not alike.they were two pretty looking black men who could really perform in front of a crowd,but there music did not sound alike at all.

I love Jackson's music but Prince in my opinion is a true musician due to his talent of playing multiple instruments.

Prince clearly suffered from a napoleon complex, and was hurt by the fact that his artistry didnt afford him the notoriety that MJ's showmanship afforded him.... its logical and normal, can't blame that on the media, Prince has an otherworldly ego... Mike was super sensitive and humble.
@kingsweattv24654 жыл бұрын
even Rick James wanted to slap Prince... Prince is an Icon, but so was his ego.
