Enjoy this video. I have this car and i'm happy. Running cost is way less compare to X3/Q5 by all meams and value for money is high. It is low blood presure drivers car but it has enough power to enjoy when you asking for it. It is clean and relaxing inside. The sound of the engine is without dramas and sounds like a 6 cylinder.

Are these these cars reliable mechanically
@LofiMusicLover022 жыл бұрын
I have a feeling the jostling sensation is caused by the fwd architecture and the unbalanced left and right side of the car due to the transverse engine layout. Bet the Lexus NX and other fwd-based luxury SUVs all have this issue.
@Singularityv6162 жыл бұрын
You think the rough ride over uneven roads is due to the rear transverse leaf spring design?

Enjoyed this review! So many other car reviews leave out details such as this.
@MeynMotorGroup Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Acutally I just tested a 2023 XC60 and this problem with the suspension no longer exists. They stiffened the suspension up to eliminate the jostling effect I experienced in this 2022 but, it did lead to a slightly stiffer ride for 2023 but that's ok I would rather have a slightly stiffer ride than the crazy body movements this 2022 had.

You harp on the lack of physical controls, but no mention of Google Assistant. You can use voice commands to change HVAC settings, heated steering wheel, heated seats. Don’t need to take your eyes off the road. But yes the Google infotainment is lacking, it's a new system, needs 1-2 years to be fully functional and bug free. Doesn't have Apple Carplay yet. You say the car doesn’t have wireless charging, but it says it right there on the window sticker. Unnecessary cheap shot on Volvo. Not every brand suffered like BMW. =)
@MeynMotorGroup2 жыл бұрын
Only problem was my phone wasn’t charging when on the pad so no idea what was wrong there. Voice assistance is every companies scape goat for not including physical controls and the consumers support it. But consumers that support this fail to recognize that’s not a natural reaction for most people used to driving cars for 20-30 years. We reach for buttons or switches when we want something done quick. When voice command craps out on us due to some system glitch we’re sol. I get you like this car and I like Volvo too but need to call them out when necessary no need to support these companies that never support us back.
@stevethomas22852 жыл бұрын
Google Voice is terrible. Wireless charging barely works, the phone has to be placed perfectly. So many design flaws. Very disappointing. Infotainment system is simply bad.

@@MeynMotorGroup I don't know, this complaining about the lack of physical buttons that almost all reviewers complain seems to me about the same as complaining about the central tunnel or the fact that the windows in the back don't go fully down. Who the hell drives with the rear windows down or need to put the elbow there? Who cares about that median tunnel, how many times that was a problem? In my life, never! Yes we are used to buttons, but if the button is a touch and not a dial it's the same. You usually need to get your eyes off the road to operate buttons. For a dial, not really. Yes, depend on the type, many people only chage the temperature and let the auto make it's magic. People that keep changing thing are used to operate the simples sytstem, not the automated climate control. And you can change the temperature with your voie or with two touches on the screen. You failed to mention the Volvo app which gives you a tone of information about the care, it's gps position, the driving journal with distances and fuel consumption, the option to lock/unlock your car, start the engine and/or the climate control, flash the light/sound the horn, start preconditioning of the cabin and so on. And it works with Siri, so as you leave you can "Hey Siri ;ock my car" if you want. Let's not forget the 4G connection if you put your SIM in the car (it also has it's own SIM for connected services and updates), the wi-fi hot spot on board for up to 8 devices, or the possibility to connect the car to your hot-spot phone, and the free maps update for life. You can download TuneIn Radio or Spotify and use your account to listen to about anything using the car's SIM. The Harman Kardon is a 14 speaker system and also you can upgrade to a Bowers & Wilkins. You can also lock your driver profile to a keycard and the other profile to the other keycard. Each keycard/profile with it's own settings so when you unlock your car the car loads your setting for about everything and prepares the seat. Never mentioned the screen and cameras quality or the fact that you can use it with gloves (yes, in Sweden get's pretty cold), the fact that the radar works on any kind of weather (again... Sweden). The japanese cars are many years behind when it comes to media unfortunately, those Toyota and Lexus screens? They used to lead the way. You never mentioned the assistance systems which are pretty good. There's also an air suspension if you don't like the basic one.

Thanks for the review. Volvo drivers seem to fit a certain personality type. I can appreciate the history of this vehicle and where Volvo is now. When I think Volvo, I always think Saab as well.

I'm here bro! F-pace vs XC60, which will win!?
@MeynMotorGroup2 жыл бұрын
Hmm I’m thinking maybe F Pace if it had smaller wheels because at least the Jag didn’t have unnecessary movements in the suspension. Have you thought about a flagship sedan perhaps? Would have a lot of legroom and might be good to get in and out of with your ankle
@aerotus8882 жыл бұрын
@@MeynMotorGroup yeah it'd be nice to have a car where you don't get bothered by the UK pot holed roads. Has to be an SUV as my wife will be the main daily driver and she prefers the higher road view as she's short and not a confident driver.
@MeynMotorGroup2 жыл бұрын
Ah I gotcha, yea F Pace and Range Rover Velar/Sport might be worth looking into they do drive great. RR products seem to have slightly better tuning but check it out nice vehicles

@@MeynMotorGroup did you test the standard springs or air suspension? Air suspension should fix most of the rough ride issues I would have thought.

No, there isn't. I have a B5 Inscription. Spoke with Volvo. It doesn't exist. So many design choices in this car are terrible. Very disappointing.
@razvanlex2 жыл бұрын
@@stevethomas2285 Yeah, usually we don't carry guns in the glovebox here in Europe 😉. But, here is from the XC60 manual: "Locking and unlocking the glovebox* The glovebox can be locked, e.g. when the car is taken in for service, left at a hotel or similar. The glovebox can only be locked/unlocked with the accompanying key." Yes, it-s an option. Also, you can lock the boot: "The tailgate can be locked with the private locking function which prevents it from being opened, e.g. when the car is taken in for serv- ice, left at a hotel or similar. A security code needs to be selected during the first time the function is used. It can then be used to deactivate private locking if the selected PIN code has been forgotten or lost. The security code acts as a PUK code for all subsequent PIN codes set for the private lock- ing function."

I drove mine for less than 1000 miles. I got it on February. It’s currently back in the dealer for the third time. The screen keeps rebooting itself when I drive. The screen, heat/ac, radio all shuts off and reboots itself while I’m driving. It does that at least once a day. They switched out the computer and said that should fix the problem. I got it back for less than a week and it happened again! It’s been back at the dealer for a week now.
