I had been visiting Bali for my time off from work for 5-6 months and would always have price sticker shock when I returned home. No matter how many times I did this trip (every year since 2012) I was aghast by the high prices for a hotel, food etc. I love Bali and would love to learn to make vlogs and earn money traveling.
@elsienorback76892 жыл бұрын
I agree, age is not a divider in Bali. Everyone , no matter the age will converse with you. I love Bali and would love to get back there. I’m hoping next winter 2022:23. I did a sky dive in Alaska. It was Tandem, where you are attached to a professional sky diver. It was amazing and the greatest feeling ever.

Where would you recommend living in Bali? Maybe make a video about the different neighborhoods and towns. Take consideration of the home prices, location with stores, safety, trash less, schools, etc.

Hi Ralph, thanks for the video. I also lived in Vietnam ( Nha Trang ) during 2020. But back to the points - 1) the traffic - are there low-traffic areas of Bali ? surely there are times when traffic volume is low ? 2) the beaches - HOW bad is the pollution / littering? Is it all over Bali? thanks

Nice video man, its interesting to watch the whole video, you don't waste time at all. Keep on posting daily life and how others can go there and do the same. What is the English teaching scene there like?
@RalphClescaVlogs2 жыл бұрын
Do you prefer the faster pace video like this with less fluff or do you like when people take their time and most have a chill vibe to the video... curious what you prefer? and there is not much of a teaching scene here really, it's low. Vietnam is 80% teachers but here everybody does something different... there are some teachers, but now with the new rules in China many online companies have shut down, and teaching physically here is not big at all...

nice info bro... yeah, i think the beach problem was that stuff... hopefully the Bali's governments wanna create some team to clean and clear the beach... for the cost of living, maybe you need to go out of Bali to the another Islands, theres more than 5 islands in Indonesia, more than cheaper and more beautiful than Bali (sry for Bali pros ppl 😆)... so, you need to explore Indonesia... Lombok has amazing well kept, wide roads, which surprised me. Bali, not so much. Traffic is terrible. My first year renting a motor bike I had two bump in’s with someone else, but i wasn’t moving, they bumped into me in slow motion. Lol. No one was hurt. Lol.

If anyone wants to go on vacation to Bali in the near future, I suggest you to just go to another country in Southeast Asia, Bali is indeed beautiful, on Instagram and very contrary to reality, the streets are narrow, always jammed, the beaches are dirty black, a lot of garbage, Disposal of household waste directly from the river, lots of scams, crazy motorbike riders who don't understand traffic rules, money-mad police who have gone viral asking for 1 million rupiah to Japanese tourists

@albannach69002 жыл бұрын
Actually it's not pronounced 'Chunggu' as the vowel 'a' in Bahasa Indonesia only has one pronunciation i.e. as in 'mat', 'cat', 'father' etc. but, as with every country, there are people with strong regional dialects (think Cockneys) or of limited schooling, or even people who are simply lazy speakers who don't pronounce words correctly.

Dont get me wrong.. but dont get the hype... Bali is full of snob expats, vegan, yoga, guru, health coaches and the list goes on! Beautiful island but definitely not the best. The expat area in particular is nothing special.. it doesn't feel authentic at all! I stayed in Sebatu village, very real and you get the sense of Balinese culture. But im glad you're enjoying and giving your honest feedback about your Bali experience. Merry xmas btw

I didn't like the food, it's tasteless and extremely difficult for vegetarian. It's also 3-4 times expensive as compare to many other countries of Asia. Waterfalls, temples and nature all have entry fees. If you want to go to waterfall and beach, it's not walkable distance, you have to have a day out plan with friends, else just stay stuck in the city. Also most people like in restaurants, they don't know even basic English.

I realize your intent is good, but you may be unaware how some of your highlights mimic European colonizers who also travelled to all the wonderful places you visit today and in so doing, left behind a trail of Cultural genocide. Strong words, I know you may be utterly shocked by them, but I urge you and those you know who follow this same conquest of travels to be more diligent with how you portray countries/Islands that have fought wars for generations to maintain independence. Highlighting everything as cheap is offensive to the locals. It portrays yourself and others from more developed countries as self indulgent and blissfully ignorant to the struggles of the locals. Does anyone give aid to the locals or does everyone just take from them at the lowest possible price? Does anyone invest in the locals or does everyone just barter with them for the lowest possible price? Yes they are gracious people, I only hope you and your fellow nomads will show more respect aside from promoting everyone to move to a country or island where they can repeat the same cycle of colonial gentrification that leads to divisiveness and resentment of locals as they are forced to watch non-indigenous live in luxury while they struggle in their own country. Please receive this with this sincerity it was sent. If you can raise your own awareness of how unsettling these vlogs can be to the locals, then maybe you can help raise the awareness for others. Also check the visa laws on what’s permitted in regards to telling others how to earn income in countries whose Travel Visa disallows it. Grateful & Hopeful.

I can add to the cons! and am glad someone finally mentioned them! 1. local food is good and cheap but eventually one misses home food,cheese androasts without the bali spices, and these are possible to find but all is over priced. so one might find food cheap eating local foods half of the week but it balances out if the other half of the week you eat imported foods. 2. the strict rules,legal, if you like to 'chill' there is no chilling here or you face death penalty and in many countried around the world its legal 3. poverty, especially now with covid so many people are poor and seeing us as foreigners they ask for help, but they do not know we also have it hard at times 4. the heat, if you do not like heat (me) this is not the place for you because you will need a lot of money spend on electricity for AC....and you will be stuck inside mostly, which makes no sense in Bali. :-) :-) good video my friend! if you come to nusa dua let me know, I need some social interaction and as you mentioned cianggu is far for me to go for just a drink or dinner back and forth, andi owuldnt know what to do all day because I became overweight (it sucks) and need AC :-)
