What do you guys think about Bali? Have you been there? Would you live there for the long-term or maybe even move there?

You could try to go to the more quiet places in Bali 😊 there is so much more to Bali then Canggu / Kuta / Ubud etc 😊

I agree, there are tons of different places in Bali, including very peaceful places. But they also have their pros and cons. It's probably hard to find co-working place or variety of restaurants in such areas. But Bali could be very different and it's a great thing about the island.

@@dpashutskii yes that might be true. I live the slower pace here on Nusa Lembongan But I struggle a lot with wifi speed 😅

Very nice video and good to hear pro and cons. What's your feeling about bali post-pandemic, do you think winter 21/22 will be full again or less than before? Thank you
@dpashutskii3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I would be glad to be wrong but I think we still will be in the pandemic mode this winter. But Bali is pretty packed even now so it will be even more when they open the borders. It will probably happen even if the pandemic is still here. I would expect that it fully returns to the amount of tourists in 2022/23 winter.

That's great to hear. Where exactly? I've been to Lovina for a couple of days and it was awesome. Such a relaxing place especially now without any tourists.

I'm in Sanur, no tourists here either.

@@TheBuddyShowWorldwide Oh I read "West" instead of "East" for some reason. Yeah, Sanur is great! I can imagine it's the perfect place to avoid crowds right now.

Hey Dmitrii, great video. How should digital nomads find suitable accommodation in Bali? thanks
@dpashutskii2 жыл бұрын
Hey david, thank you for watching! We were always finding accommodation via Airbnb and then we contacted host directly outside of the platform and rent for the long-term. I think Facebook groups should also be popular.

Bali is Bali, can't compare to another city or island. Bali is the " Island of God ". We keep our tradition and culture in our way. Everyone loves Bali.

I've never planned to stay in Bali for such a long time. It's pandemic made the corrections and I've spent 16 months instead of planned 6 months. Now it's time to visit other countries :)

But Bali is empty NOW, its pandemic.
@dpashutskii3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's empty. There are still mane people who arrived before pandemic and stayed. In addition, almost 6 months last year it was allowed to enter Bali on Business visas. For sure, it's not so many compared to pre-pandemic times. But still it's one of the most crowded destination among all tourist places in the world right now.

You didn’t even say which area you lived in Bali. I’m assuming Canggu from your past video? Canggu only became truly gentrified since 5 years ago, so of course the pedestrian infrastructure and urban planning have not been up to par with the rapid development. Canggu is basically now a ghetto of White expats. Have you even gone to Seminyak, Legian, Kuta, Denpasar and Sanur? These areas have been well established for years, hence the relatively good pedestrian footpaths just about everywhere. A lot of Indonesians are now cycling all over Bali, especially during Covid. Indonesia, and the rest of Southeast Asia for that matter (except for northern Vietnam), do not have what you’ve been calling winters and summers in this video. We’ve got dry season and monsoon season. Java, Bali and several other provinces being in the southern hemisphere doesn’t necessarily mean that the seasons are inverted with respect to those of the northern hemisphere. Wind patterns from Australia do affect seasons in Java and Bali ever so slightly. Across Indonesia specifically, monsoon season is October-March and dry season is March-October. People from all over the world flock to Bali simply because it is so affordable to rent villas with private swimming pools and live that lifestyle. I find it extremely peculiar that you have travelled halfway across the globe from Russia just to be living in another tiny flat. Did you even try Indonesian food from real Indonesian restaurants and warungs when you were in Bali?

1. Since this video is clearly for digital nomads and tourists you can guess I have lived in expat/nomad areas: Canggu, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Ubud, Pererenan, and a few more. 2. Yes I've been in all areas you listed and I still think there is no good pedestrian infrastructure there. Most of the streets are focused on vehicles anyway. Even if there is a sidewalk it's usually not a good experience to walk on it. It's not a criticism, just some countries and cities focused on vehicles and some on walking. You can see it for example in US cities which mostly focused on cars and European cities where you can find a walking first experience. I don't know why you see this as criticism :D For example, my hometown in Russia is also only for cars. 3. Almost none of the countries in South East Asia have winters and summers as we used in Europe. I've never said otherwise. 4. I am very happy for the people who like to live in villas and big houses. I only said it's not for me. I tried and lived in the villa for 2 months and didn't like it. Not sure why you think that all people are should be the same. All people are different and that's great thing about people. And I don't see anything peculiar in being different. 5. Yes I have tried Indonesian food. Your comment have a bit disrespectful and negative colour in it and I'm not sure why. I just shared my opinion and it could be different from other people or yours. Also if you've seen criticism about Bali in this video you got it wrong. I've never criticise or talk negatively about Bali in this video or in general.
