Thank you all for 60k views! 🙏 For those wondering - I'm a tech worker who recently quit my job to travel and create videos to show you around the world. My latest adventure took me to Thailand, where I show you what you can do in Phuket. If you enjoyed this China video, I think you'll love my recent Phuket adventure kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5bSp5drn7BkjcU where I try paragliding for the first time. I spent a lot of time and effort crafting this one and I have strong conviction you will enjoy. Every view helps this small creator's dream stay alive 🙌 Hope to see you there!

It's mutual, and nearly universal. The media lie so much. For example, I lived and worked in Spain for a time, Madrid to be exact. I ended up moving to a neighbourhood which was not beautiful, which was poor, which was largely immigrant. Everyone told me that I was insane, that my life was at risk. That was never the case, and people there treated me more kindly, with more warmth and decency, than in the wealthy areas where I worked. I see what the Chinese media say about the West, and it's just as, if not more, dishonest than what the Western media say about China. In the media, you hear that the UK is a disaster zone. It has its problems, but it's better than most of Europe.

People who had been to Tibet said the scenery there rivaled the mountains of Tibet. Hire a guide to arrange bus transport there & back, accommodations, etc. Steep hiking & very poor locals, so you might want to take boiled eggs or dried meat to add to meals. I loved that traditional home with its lovely use of wood. The many openings that offered ventilation and light with its moody shadows was particularly lovely. It would offer a photographer so many possibilities. While it appeared cluttered today I can imagine when this house was occupied by a wealthy family that it was pristine. Rural China that managed to retain some of its traditions are such a wonderful discovery. Thank you for a great tour. BTW, roasted sweet potatoes are found everywhere in China during the winter months. While it was the staple of poor folks all Chinese even in the cities are fond of it because it’s truly delicious. When I visited China in 1991 I would seek out street vendors who sold roasted sweet potatoes by following the scent of rich sweet smoke of their charcoal braziers. It’s really delicious. The one shown in this video seemed under cooked because they should be sufficiently charred before they’re soft and creamy. And the crispy skin is eaten as well because of its smokey flavor. So I hope this blogger gets to try it again. I’ve liked and subscribed.

There are small herbal medicine shops. As far as true pharmacy I didn’t necessarily see one but I’m sure there is or within reach at the next village over

I see some traits of "Little Chinese everywhere" in your video. Nevertheless thanks for letting us know about rural China.

Great video, you got very good potential! I would suggest you dig a bit deeper into China's history and integrate with your content, that'll give you some more context and much deeper insight.

As an Indian, the average Chinese strikes me as friendlier than the average westerner. I even dated a Chinese woman once in Thailand. And the west is supposedly our friend. Lol.

Wow that’s interesting, I felt the same way. At the end of the day though I’ve found it really does come down to the individual
