And real high school students don't look like supermodels in their 20s! 😂

For example, if I was an immortal being (say a vampire) trying to keep a low profile, I would NOT enroll in a local high school to pass the time.

"Breaking glass bottles is harder than it looks" In high school, I flung an empty beer bottle maybe 30 or 40 feet in the air. The bottle hit concrete with a loud THUNK, yet remained intact. I expected shattered pieces.

Movies have prop bottles made of sugar glass, essentially just rock candy in the shape of a bottle that shatters a lot easier

Being able to walk off a bullet wound. Had a friend tell me about this: when the bullet impacts the body, it creates a ripple effect (cavitation) which will likely compress your other organs causing massive internal bleeding

theres so many interesting and complicated topics depicted wrongly in media, which is understandable since writers arent doctors or engineers or whatever. but i've seen fanfic writers try to learn how exact procedures work to try to get it as accurate as possible, its actually really common among fanfic writers lol. i find it funny that teenagers with a passion for writing have a stronger desire to get it accurate than film writers

I once tried to do research on how PTSD affects people, but since I was so young and it was like 11 at night, Google was absolutely zero help

That's something else I can never understand. Even in published writing sometimes topics are so WRONG and unrealistic. I legitimately have to look through information on topics just to see if I can actually get a good understanding before I even /think/ of going with an idea for a story, and yet screenwriters especially seem not to put in the effort to research, just throwing in anything since it's already fictional. And they're supposed to be professionals lol. I will say though, perhaps there are people who look into and research topics before the content is put out, but directors will decide against making it realistic if the realism is boring. Since it's all about keeping people's attention

Hacking into computers High school Musical numbers. Try singing out of nowhere and watch people give you glares. Getting in shape/losing weight. If only it could be accomplished in a montage, we’d all be in shape.

Kick back with guns and fancy unrealistic daggers. You will rarely see gun kickback in movies and shows it if you do it's completely unrealistic. Swords and daggers too. Seen a lot of like decorative daggers and swords in movies, where the first time they'd use it pieces would fall off or the blade would bend/break. To be fair, i see it more in like japanese stuff, but ocassionally you'll get some sci-fi or action movie with some weird looking sword thats mostly there to look decorative and not be used.... Being used.

Hate how some mortal wounds happen, person is fully conscious/ able to talk and expires shortly after at the perfect time, as if they lost all their blood edit: Not saying it's impossible in certain cases probably, just unlikely. Some things can instantly take you out. Some things will put you in shock. Some things could take hours or longer

I've seen enough real things online to know that most moral injuries aren't immediately fatal. It's interesting (and horrifying) to know that the human body will fight very hard to remain alive. If there's any way it can remain functioning, it will marshall resources to do it for as long as possible. There was one horrifying example of a guy who got into a horrible car accident that de-cap-itated his passenger instantly. The driver saw his friend's face as it went from surprise to grim realization and then his face slackened and he faded away. The people who have researched this say that you have about 15 seconds of consciousness after your noggin has been taken off... but only if it's instant.

Last night I watched Terrifier 3. Some of those deaths wouldn't have been been as quick as they showed. When seeing a facepeel scene, I told my friend, "Cartels do that to people. They filmed it. It takes a lot longer to die after that." My friend's face darkened at the thought that A) people do that routinely to other people and B) it lasts a long time
