The pressure is on Giannis with Dame, Tatum and Embiid for sure. And in Embiid's case it's not even about a finals run, he needs to perform in the playoffs at least as well as in the regular Season, his numbers ALWAYS go down in the post season and he chokes, he needs to prove himself from that point first.

Yes, if Giannis and Dame fails to win a title within 3 years, their legacy is forever tarnished, especially if Giannis would leave the Bucks for another contending team after failing to win alongside Dame, Khris and Brook

@@317Waves nah, before winning the title or some MVP award, you can't say that you have nothing to ptove. Do you know how many people hyped Luka since his 2nd season? Everyone had him for as MVP player for upcoming season. He didn't won anything. Than 4th season he was also predicted to win MVP, he didn't, than last season people also predicted that Luka will win MVP, he didn't... 5 years in this league have are done and he still hasn't done anything. Just understand, he doesn't need to be all time great, but he needs to be at least one of top 10 greatest players of all time because many people expected that since his 2nd season. To do that, he has to win multiple titles and probably one or more MVP awards...

Dame has the most pressure. He needs to show he is able to win a great team. I don't know Giannis, his first ring was valid, and so far losing in the first round was because of his injury in the playoffs. A healthy Giannis wouldnt have lost in first round. After that, i will like Tatum to seal the deal. Celtics vs Denver would be an interesting final matchup.

Nope. The only Championship or bust worthy among them are Giannis and Dame. Giannis is in his prime with a stacked team, best lineup they had in years. Miami isn't a stacked roster especially after losing the Dame lottery, plus they just exceeded expectations last playoffs so them losing means nothing. Philly isn't stacked and Embiid is basically a taller Harden, a lot of talent, but a poor leader that can't lead anybody to a ring. No one even expects them to even get past the 2nd round to be honest. The celtics aren't in a rush, they still have a little room for improvements and errors so losing this season wouldn't be a big deal.

Sorry, Giannis isn't top 15 with two rings. BIg O, Zeke, Moses Malone, Barkley, Karl Malone, Dr. J, Willis Reed, Durant, Dirk, David Robinson, KG, Jerry West, Pippen, and Kevin McHale all have a huge resume and Giannis needs a little more. Some have two MVPS, Some have two rings.
@nicksamp515
@nicksamp515 Жыл бұрын
Giannis is the biggest loser if he falls short of anything but a championship. Aside from the stacked roster, most of the teams during the 2021 playoffs were missing key players all throughout their runs, whether it's in the east or west. The narrative would surely be that Giannis can win a ring when there's a handicap, but can't get it done when there's none. Jimmy would be the biggest winner if he wins a title this season, as it would propel him from a borderline superstar, to a HOF legend especially they lost the Dame lottery. I don't think Embiid would ever win a title with him as the leader and Tatum still has a little room for errors and he has a stacked roster so even if he win or lose, the impact of it wouldn't be as much as Giannis or Butler.

I'm positive Pat Riley & Co. (Miami Heat) will continue to build a Championship worthy cast of teammates around Jimmy Butler Although the clock is ticking more loudly than ever as Jimmy Butler is on or about his mid-30's In this current era of NBA Basketball, these players play peak basketball for a much longer duration of their careers than of past years

I just think Jayson Tatum shouldn’t even be in these conversations. I don’t think his expectations should be this high because I believe he’s the most overrated player in the league. People treat him like he’s a MVP caliber player when he’s not. He’s never been in the MVP conversations at the end of a season. I don’t think he should be expected to win a championship because to put it plainly, teams without MVPs don’t win championships in the NBA. It’s happened less than 7 times in the 77 year history of the NBA.

Jimmy Butler was an extreme offender of "load management era" as much as anyone else, yet because of his grit, toughness, leadership (that the basketball television media had no choice but to recognize as of recent) and post season play... His offenses have fallen under the radar, also partly because Jimmy Butler was seen as a very good, a borderline All-Star type player VS his Superstar status that has evolved over this last post season

Butler at least shows out in the playoffs. He is the argument for Load Management. Kawhi and the Clippers and Joel Embiid are the arguments against Load Management. All their games off didn't get them anything in the Playoffs.

Why is the bar held so low nowadays? Maybe im just used to being a Lebron fan but how is Giannis legacy (i can understand reputation but legacy?) solidified with just 1 ring and 2 mvps Giannis and Jokic can get to maybe 3 rings being young with the success they’ve already achieved so we need to raise that bar for them fr

The Bar is high for Lebron because he wants to be called the GOAT.
@nicksamp515
@nicksamp515 Жыл бұрын
It's the other way around actually. Standards are set too high ever since the LBJ vs MJ debate. LeBron is hyped up to be the heir of MJ and will be the GOAT in the future, that's why even now at his 21st season, all eyes are on him and anything short of a ring would still be considered as a failure. Giannis and Jokic aren't posed as a GOAT candidate, and winning a ring plus b2b MVPS and in Giannis' case, a DPOY pretty much solidified their Legacy. Remember, Barkley, Malone, Iverson had no rings to boast, but they are in the top 30s and considered HOF legends.

@@olimercer835 thats what I’m saying tho based off what he’s already accomplished at his age he has the potential to be a top 10 player of all time I’m not tryna put him in the GOAT debate that’s honestly just MJ Bron and Kareem but Giannis has the potential to eliminate someone like Wilt or whoever people have from 7-10 all time which is why I say we should raise the bar the same way they raised the bar for Curry now he’s been in the discussion against Magic you what I’m saying?

Why does everyone disrespect Khris Middleton and Jamal Murray? What do you people mean legitimate 2nd star? Khris made all the big shots and free throws in the 2021 playoffs and even had 2 40 point games in the finals until Giannis finally went nuclear in G6 vs Suns? Jamal Murray averaged 32ppg on 50/40/90 splits hitting the heart breaking shots over the Lakers. Without Murray Jokic like the previous 2 years loses in the first round in 4 and 5. You people are so disrespectful man. Without Khris Giannis doesn't win and same goes for Jokic Without Jamal. You smaller channels should be the ones the one fighting for these guys by having a voice for them not piling up by dismissing them has you lot claim you watch basketball a lot.
