I love how they constantly look at one another while speaking to us. Not only are they speaking to us in the podcast, but to one another. Eye contact with the viewer, but even eye contact with one another. I love how encouraging they are. God bless you both, the Lord is using you both to help thousands.

I desire to walk in The Spirit and be one with my husband spiritually. I don't know if it will ever happen, but I pray for it every single day. Holy Spirit, please come into my home and help us to become one with You and each other. Amen.

@ Fatima Fisher You are to be one FLESH with your husband . Because God's purpose of marriage is sexual . Believers are one spiritually . They don't need marriage for that !

I have been watching your videos and putting intentional work into building awareness to my weaknesses that hurt my relationship (prayer as well) I have been working on physical touch after arguing and its been amazing watching that hug after an argument brings us back together❤❤

Thank y’all for this wonderful video. I really needed to hear God’s word for hope for the future of my marriage. We are two months in and struggling with arguing. But I give this to The Lord and I know we will soon be fruitful in God’s name. 🙏🏼💕

I argue or engage in fights from time to time with my wife and I have learned that its not really worth fighting for most of the time. There has been a lot of good things said in your video and I hope she and I can set down together and watch this again and learn to be as one because it want that with her so bad. She is everything to me and I want not only her and I to feel as one but to remember that God is here for us and your video just reminded me of all of that. Thanks for the encouragement and especially the scriptures shared for the reassurance. I hope and pray and DO have faith that this woman and I can be inseparable until our time here is done. Thank you again. I will be looking forward to seeing more videos from you. God bless.

@ S Stiles Not a word about how wives ought to be submissive to their husbands in everything . Of course not ! How dare you make wives accountable for marriage breakdown ? No way ! Women are so perfect , so awesome , so pure , so innocent , they do not even need to be saved at all !

Good stuff. And I guess these are ideas I can use even if my husband doesn't. Not sure if the praying together thing would work.
@erickajen6 жыл бұрын
i know what you mean. we havent been able to get it together to pray together either. :( but i know they mentioned one part where it takes two to fight, and if you're just sitting there "ok. ok. i hear that. " or whatever, youre putting water on the fire.
@carolynlancaster2996 жыл бұрын
Thank you for highlighting that for me, Ericka! That is a good point. I can only hope that my husband would follow my lead...he is a lot more passive than I am, though, so it's really on me to not fight. But sometimes I just want a reaction from him!

I have such a quick temper and will just yell out of frustration and then it escalates from there... its horrible. ugh! We need to practice walking in God's unity. Holy Spirit help me. We argue about something almost every day. Wow... I really need to pray more and walk in the Spirit more to overcome the fleshly desires or personal wants.

This is all so good but this requires so much vulnerability with your spouse how do you get to a place with your spouse where you can actually be this vulnerable with your spouse. I really struggle in being that open and honest with my husband

Walking in the Spirit, not allowed to talk or say how I feel...I don’t want to fight, I want to be able to express how I feel, and he won’t hear me. He shuts me down and stonewalls, with no intention of coming back together to resolve anything. I have enabled this behavior for all of these fifteen years, he is emotionally dismissive and avoidant. I feel emotionally neglected and feel non-human. I am miserable, I feel he can never understand or makes any effort to. He does not read at all. Not the Bible, not any book to help educate or help him understand relationship dynamics. I feel alone in this marriage.

published on our 14th anniversary!! :) so, no one makes fighting a goal... but when you are two different people, im more of the mind to begin with - things are going to happen. but i do like the idea of walking in the Spirit - that does/should throw cold water on the fire. ok. wow so firm. this is a process, a growth thing. obviously you are going to fight, but i see now one should be looking toward ways to make it not that way... ? grow to live in the Spirit and figure out why you fight back or start the fight... and avoid those things? you keep revisiting this issue because obviously i learning it for the first time.... no one i know of has talked about this kind of thing before. well, maybe fighting is normal, but i think that the things that are normal are things to avoid. its normal to watch horrible tv/movies and listen to horrible music and use porn and be dramatic. its totally normal. but we should try to be weird. God calls us his "peculiar people" 1 peter 2:9 - which means NOT normal. so hows that for logic. ;) well, you have to replace anything bad with something good, or else you will just revert back to doing the bad again. thats just good psychology, right there in the Bible. so then if you do this right with your spouse ,that automatically trickles down to your children and them to you... ugh. this is a bigger one than i first thought. of course. ok now... that verse is troubling, because if you stay up all night fighting, not only do your kids hear, and suffer in the other room with your fighting, but you get more and more tired. it has to mean something more than what we see at face value. like, maybe a literal space to let it go, rest, and revisit it later when you arent both exhausted. the problem gts to be if you dont actually do that, but you have to.. its a critical part of the process... but yeah. as a child of parents who would stay up until 3 am fighting and screaming at each other, i do not and will not advocate for that. as a child it was very disturbing and it never solved anything - they never finished the fight and it was just as bitter as when it began!! ah good, there it is, you cover that more beautifully than i did. :) this was great. keep it up. :)

At the end y'all talk about physical touch, but I'm curious, how do you allow the touch if it just makes you even more angry? My husband is the touchy feely kind of guy, if I'm irritated even a little, the slightest touch makes it worse. :\
@erickajen6 жыл бұрын
i thought that too at first, but then i thought maybe it meant like, agreeing to hold hands to pray or something. but then, too, if thats our reaction, its worth thinking about where that reaction is coming from. i know i do the same thing, and ive come to realize thats a flesh reaction... not a Spirit one. that being said, if hubby started making "moves" i would be annoyed too!
