I’m in a situation rn where my parents can’t accept my bf bc of his religion. I’m Mormon and part of my religion is to date someone who is Mormon, but you don’t have too. But my parents don’t want me to. He is a baptist. He hasn’t done anything wrong. He treats me like a women should be treated and we are just two different religions that are in love. I told them that this is what I want in my life and they think he’s pressuring me into saying that. I’ve had to hide our relationship bc it’s so hard for them to accept me and him being together. He knows and understands what I’m going through. We do plan on getting married soon. What should I do?!?

I talked and talked to my parents to convince them he is a good guy. I know he smokes and has a tattoo, but he’s not gonna force me to get into that crap. He respects my religion. Idk why it’s so hard to accept the fact that he is just in a different relationship. I know he is the one for me bc he is different from the other guys I’ve dated.
