Thanks a lot Mukesh Ji for preparing the video on lapping zone. I think it is also usefull for everyone who have doubt about lapping zone. I had discussed the same matter with structural designer As he told that Lapping should be start from center of column and laping length must be maintained. there is no matter if it enter to the Zone A.

High rise building me external column ka verticality kaise check kre aur usme kitna tolerance limit tak variation allowed kr skte hai...vo topic pe ek video bnaye..I have some doubt so that it clear... Column marking to total station kr skte hai lekin verticality me issue rehta hai above 3rd floor when we compared it with ground floor columns.

As a small construction we cant use threaded coupler .. alternatively can we use bolted coupler. Where is that available as per BS standards I have seen them online but this bolted coupler available in india please give more info

Dear Mukesh ji, correct me if I am wrong. 1) I was of the belief that slab to slab height is distance (L) minus slab thickness and not beam depth. So in this case it would be 3000 - (slab thk) and not 3000 - beam depth, i.e. 600. 2) Secondly, I think also in the above case, you have deducted 600 mm three times instead of two times. First deduction of 600 mm was when you took 3000 - 600 to get 2400 mm.

No Sir. to get lap zone the length (L) required is from top of slab to below beam. You can check IS Code 13920 : 2016 2) first 600 deduction is for beam.... 2nd and third deduction is for Both Zone A. I request you to watch the video once again.
