If you register your car out of state, insurance has to match out of state. If you get another ticket, judge can rule that you’re evading California smog. Don’t ask how I know.

There's only three states that you're going to make money in California, New York and Texas. If you got a problem with the sweeping policies. Some states are incredibly rural and beautiful and they want to keep it that way. All states receive Federal funding and bailouts. What makes California so sad is that they take ANY federal funding or aid being that they 1. Have the highest taxes in the country and 2. Are home to the wealthiest people and businesses in the World and Country. Yet the state has the greatest wealth disparity in the country, some of the highest rates of addiction, homelessness and petty crime. States are supposed to help each other out, its not about pulling weight financially here. A state like Montana will never pull the revenue California does and they shouldnt. As they are 2 completely different states. Progressives dominate California because they control Silicon valley, Hollywood and mainstream media. And the Propaganda machine is spreading all throughout the country. California has always been a Progressive Hub and its only gotten worse. Its so bad now that people openly Praise communism and Socialism now. Imagine that 20-30 years ago that a large portion of the population support Socialism and Communist ideas and policies! People are literally going insane.

Just a heads up, this won't help with being state ref'd. Sure, you won't have to smog every 2 years or what ever but if you do get state reffed you're still going to have to deal with that. Snogging isn't the issue, unless you can't find a hook up, it's being state reffed that is the issue. Much worse than dealing with smog.

My vehicle is tagged to see the state ref - never got pulled over for any ticket. Must be an issue with the smog done 2 years ago. You’ll have to go register your car in that area. So you’ll have to drive to AZ to get the car inspected in that area. Then get AZ plates. Honestly that way is more of a hassle and then you’ll have to lie every time a cop pulls you over for out of state plates.

I used to always just keep out of state plates, I would come back for summer or a long holiday and only got hassled once. It's only a problem if you get pulled over frequently. I had a license from the state also and was just visiting though. When I moved back in Oct, I kept my Iowa plate till December when I sold the car. That is likely the route I would take again. 5 would only work if you have a smog guy, which most car people do.

It’s not $50. Granted you can uninstall and reinstall all the parts. Most don’t keep stock parts, so you’re gonna have to find those.

@@someguy2312 than do that, for a lot of people who have heavily modified cars it would be u justified to put it back to stock. It would have cost me loads more to revert back to stock form. Couple thousand dollars

@@catzbunn that’s what I’m deciding not sure if they’d look into upgraded intercooler or could pack if it’s under the engine cover or upgrade turbo inlets or outlets it looks stock so not sure if they would be able to see the difference

Generally if not within manufactures specification which states that in my State inspection, vehicle suppose to fail. They all seem to target peoples exhaust systems and tint on their windows are most common but can apply to any part on your vehicle, which means? You're going to have a really bad day at the inspection station, what's legal now maybe illegal next time, states simply suck!

Guys im in a shity position right now. Long story short, i got pulled over one night and cop basically state reffed me. Its my first ticket and have no history of anything bad. Cop NEVER explained to me that it's not legal to drive it back on the road. Keep in mind, I've never gotten a ticket in my life so im brand new at it. Now the next day I went for a cruise with my friends and sadly got into a car accident by losing control and hit the mountain in the canyons. No one was hit but me and now the car is totaled. What do I do in this situation because now I can't even take my car to go get inspected and realized the next day after the accident that it's illegal to drive the vehicle on the road (WHICH I WAS NEVER EXPLAINED BY THE COP)

I'm only 19 years old and i'm honestly scared if I admit I drove on the road the next day, they'll fuck me over. what can you recommend me please

Dude I just got my registration notice saying smog Required, and my smog guy said it requires a referee smog , for no reason. I havent been pulled over at all.

Its not random. California is going after older cars. And if the previous smog station was sketch they go after cars in the next cycle of smog. Fuck California. I had a star referee 2x , i failed 2nd time = referee . Im waiting on ref rn

The previous owner wasn’t given a state ref ticket, my car was just randomly chosen to need to go to a state ref for a check. How/where would I go to just pay the fine/bail because I’m not trying to delete the tune and get stock parts on. If anyone can help that would be great
