Terbinafine is what you want for ringworm. Try reducing your carb consumption and alcohol intake if you are prone to getting ringworm. Try using spats under your shorts add use long sleeve tops to reduce the amount of exposed skin. Wash your equipment regularly. Shower as quickly as you can after training. And wear shoes off the mat.

One shouldn't share towels in the first place. It's a matter of personal hygiene. Tooth brashes, combs, towels, slippers, underware, any clothes and shoes actually...

I wear long pants and long sleeves in No Gi and prefer to wear a Gi in Gi 😂 - after every class I take an Epsom salt bath (for muscles/joints) and wash all exposed skin with tea tree oil body wash and my hair with head and shoulders shampoo - supposed to kill fungus and bacteria.

Dial soap is also really good. It’s antibacterial

Can I avoid ringworm and staff infections by wearing tights to protect my arms and legs?
@guidomista844810 ай бұрын
No, sadly that might be worse because it will absorb the sweat of your rolling partner and cause it to stay in contact with your skin, making it more likely to get infected. Then on top of that it will stay there, so if you get ringworm, cure it, then go to put that thing on again, you will just reinfect yourself.

It will help you from getting infected from others, but the damp environment from the trapped humidity could contribute to such growths. So be sure to still wash and change quickly.
@johnt283110 ай бұрын
@@RonniiV Thank You for your advice, I truly appreciate it. For me, as to cleaning right away, I am a person who takes a shower twice a day, sometimes 3 times in a day depending. I would wash my Gi, after every use because of the amount of sweat in it after one use. The mats should also be cleaned every time they are used as well. Take care, keep training. God Bless Oss!!!!

Remember, it might not be staph but herpes. Go to a dermatologist to get it checked, as a regular physician may miss it. The treatment for both are different. And yes you can get herpes from the mats.

Don’t tell me that 😔

@@hoodieboi2324 it's better I tell you and you get the proper treatment than going to a general physician who misdiagnoses it as staph and you take medication that has no impact (and it keeps reoccurring).
