I love all of your videos! Thank you for going to all the trouble to make them. I have only recently discovered your channel. Your beautiful garden is inspirational. I like the way you talk about many different species of plants, and not just any one brand. I live in Qld Australia, in the mild subtropics, and we can grow most of the plants that you talk about. We grow cold weather annuals in our winter months, when there are less pests and fungus diseases.

What an absolutely beautiful garden! My biggest problem is that we live next to a wood and have deer. Hungry deer. They ate all my hydrangeas this year. Ugh. And my gladioli. It's very discouraging, and I'm now starting to use netting, which is the only thing that works. Congratulations on creating a wonderful collection of varied perennials and annuals and make it all look great!

Hello new subscriber here from Kelowna B.C. Funny when you mention the smoke from my province. It was worst this year , our summer really was very short but really enjoying fall now. Please next time you do a garden tour can you tell us those perennial shrubs if it's a deer resistant as I live in a neighbourhood that deers are always around. I can see that you back in to a forest like my house. Thanks and please bear with my English as its my second language.

Do you hand water everything? We put drip irrigation for this season & wonder why we ever waited! We have zones for different needs & now it no longer is a daily chore. As I watch your great videos, I wonder why you haven't mentioned watering? Hoping you'll keep making these instructive videos.

Your garden is so pretty. You have some really stunning flowers. I know how you feel about watering now, it’s become a never ending thing in the heat. I’m in central California, we are super hot 🥵 too this year. This entire week has been triple digits. How is the humidity there? We are bone 🦴 dry 😵. We live on a Naval Base, basically a rental, so no in ground planting, 🙁. So keeping things hydrated (plus myself) is even more of a pain cause pots dry out faster. Our sun is so intense even the “full sun” plants are struggling. Just today, I’ve had to bring in 4 plants that just staying thirsty looking. They are moist, so it’s not a watering issue, I think they just have heat stroke 🥵 so hopefully they will perk up in the a/c, I have my “plant room” which is my laundry room 😝 but the a/c vents are closed so my plants don’t get too cold. I would love to tour your garden in person, and even help out with planting. I love hydrangeas, but here I just can’t keep them growing. I’ve tried twice since we moved here, they just dry up and die even if I keep them in the shade & hydrated. My entire back yard has shade cloth overhead, today I had to add another one going down the sides. My Passion flower vine was struggling, and it’s one of my biggest plant, it outgrew the trellis this year. I had to run a jute cord for them to keep on climbing from one end to the other end of my fence. I used the posts from my shade cloths. Anyways, always enjoy your videos, very inspiring. Not sure if you have told us your history, have you always run a nursery? When we are not moving around with the Navy, we have a home in central Georgia. Total opposite spectrums, Ga is so humid. I definitely can grow hydrangeas there. We have big oak trees all around the house, I miss not being able to actual plant in the ground. Thank you for sharing your garden with us, I really enjoy all your videos very informative 🤓. Happy Planting 💜🌺🌸

Martha Figueroa I use good ol' fashioned composted soil. I mulch every other year so no need to fertilize. Super easy! :)

I need more shade (have none) but I am afraid of the tree roots damaging the foundation or plumbing. can you do a video about shade trees? love those tall evergreens in your videos, but looks like most are in your neighbors yard.

You can ask your State Extension Service or Google trees with roots that will not damage your foundation or plumbing. It is about being sure to plant the proper tree in the proper place. This can be readily accomplished.

I'm a new subscriber to your channel but I've been gardening for about forty years. I loved your tour and the gardening wisdom you shared with us. The Lacecap Hydrangeas really caught my attention as I'll be planting some in my garden next Spring. At the end of the video 22:47, what's the name of the small blue (or lt purple?) flowers growing in a container arrangement? The whimsically lit flower pot was delightful!

Hi Debbie, I just loved your August garden tour. The Hydrangea in the tour was out of this world beautiful. I am so envious of them. I didn't have any luck in growing them when I was in Washington. Now I'm in Florida, do you think I would have a chance with them here? Continue bringing the videos...... :)
