I am originally from Germany & my mother who is 76 just lost her husband in 2022 .she just cried missing Germany the other night, I want to say Thank you, I'm going to start by bringing her to Helen Georgia, I think she will Love it, & it help her feel closer to Bavaria & Stuttgart without ever having to board a plane. We lived in the Atlanta area in the late '80s. My mom said, "We won't alway live in Georga, so we are going to do everything we can while we are here." So we did. We went to Helen 5 or so time in 3 yeas. I am so glad she did that! To this day, I travel to all kinds of places, large and small. I's now 11 hours away, but I can't wait to take my wife and kids to Helen some day. I bet it has changed since 1989.

I would say around Sept/Oct when it's not too hot. The summer is great there but it's obviously really hot for walking around. Christians is super fun too.

I live on the other side of this mountain and this town just sucks lol 😂 other than fishing 🎣🤷🏼‍♂️ it’s over priced and really not worth !!!
