Two days is a short trip to New Orleans, but we have a lot planned to see and experience as much as possible!! We take a helicopter tour over the city, eat dinner at Acme Oyster House (one of our favorites in the French Quarter), take a fantastic and very interesting ghost tour and even catch a Mardi Gras parade we didn’t know about… and that’s just in day 1!!
The next day go easy for breakfast as we have a three hour walking food tour in Uptown… oh my goodness, that was incredible!!! We also check out Vue Orleans which is a new interactive, indoor and outdoor art experience about the city… this is a must do! And we end the night with some live music on Bourbon Street and we watch a very interesting walking sci-fi parade… what a great city!!!
Tours are a GREAT way to experience New Orleans! These are the tours featured in our video:

As a former Army helicopter pilot, I had to laugh at that Tom cruise reference.😂 I can only imagine what thoughts were going through that tour helicopter pilot’s head when you said that. Great tour of NOLA! BTW, one of the best attractions there is the National WWII Museum, that was established, due in large part by efforts of historian Steven Ambrose- author of Band of Brothers. He was from New Orleans. The Higgins boat landing craft is featured prominently here since the boat was produced by another famous Louisianan, Andrew Higgins. It’s a fantastic museum!

So I just found out as a AAA Member, there are discounts for a numerous things. One thing I found was a 7 1/2 hour tour for $105 a person. This tour consists of a 3 hour bus tour of New Orleans, a walking tour of St. Louis Cemetery #3, and a swamp boat tour of the Mississippi and bayou. They also pick you up and drop off at your hotel.

Finally! An intelligent, interesting video of some fascinating things to do besides taking selfies on Bourbon St. with a 3 foot drink in your hand, as if it was the only place to see. You clearly know and love the city. I loved that you started with a helicopter ride. I'll be in NOLA next week, and we're staying right down the street from Mahoney's. I want to visit all the places on the food tour! (But Haydels is closed for Mardi Gras break) Terence Osborne---what a wonderful find!
