This makes me want to book a flight to Brazil right now! Thank you for these helpful videos! (BTW, will you ever do a video or visit to Manaus?)

I think you should definitely book it! May/June is one of the best times to visit Rio. I absolutely want to go to Manaus and the broader Amazon forest, loads to see and do around there, I just didn’t have the time and money to go yet :/ it is absolutely on my list, even though I’m afraid of snakes and there are loads of them there 😅😂

@@tripsterpanda I'm afraid of snakes, too, but I'll just have to pray I don't come across any!

HI Ana (@tripsterpanda) , I enjoyed your videos and blog very much. I plan to visit the region from Iguazu to Sao Paulo to Paraty to Rio de Janeiro. Are there any recommendations you can give me since I plan to rent a vehicle from Sau Paulo to Rio via Paraty?

Hello! I might have just replied to you on the other social media, if not, here is what I said: Thanks for enjoying my content! I really appreciate it! Which type of recommendations exactly are you looking for? You mean places to stop? I think Rio - Paraty - Ubatuba - São Paulo (I just noticed you go the other way, but the stops work both ways). If you have time you can take a detour to the coffee plantation area near Paraty like Casimiro de Abreu, Valença, Vassouras… you can visit a coffee plantation and the historic city centres in these towns. In Paraty, they have an event pretty much every weekend, so make sure to check what is on and to book accommodation in advance as during these events the city tends to be busy. I hope this is helpful, have a lovely trip!

@@tripsterpanda Thanks Ana for your recommendations. I have my reservations (2 nights in Paraty and 5 Nights in Rio, although I am reconsidering maybe 3 nights Paraty and 4 nights in Rio) . What is the place you recommended for coffee plantation? and in terms of driving, are there any recommendations you can suggest for a North American citizen? Also, should safety be a concern more in Rio than in Paraty?

I think longer in Rio is better, as there is more to do. I dont have a specific coffee plantation to recommend, I just know there are some that offer tours snd hear good things about it. Safety is definitely more a concern in Rio than in Paraty. Be extremely careful with exits from main roads, as you can end up in a favela very suddenly if you take the wrong turn. I would suggest driving during the day instead of night if possible to avoid getting lost. Make sure to rent a car with an automatic toll tag for the way (ask them for it at the car rental, the one specific for the road around Paraty and Rio) otherwise you will need to go online and pay as the tolls on that road are contactless

What is the name of hotel you showed in Paraty
@tripsterpanda3 күн бұрын
Hi! This is the hotel I stayed this last time I’ve been. It is called Pousada da Condessa. The staff is super friendly and it is not quite in the town centre but extremely close to it so you can walk there (and avoid the noisy nightlife when you are trying to sleep!). I am not affiliated with them but I received good service and would recommend them.
