That cabinet of curiosities is a work of art. I love it. Everyone should have one.

I’m going to try making those ice lanterns. I remember when you made them last winter, so cool. The art museum looks amazing. Do they ever switch out exhibits? Nice video…Be well and stay safe!😊

They have one permanent exhibition with their own collection and then do different exhibitions in another part of the museum. I visited an Albert Edelfelt exhibition there a while back. It was amazing aswell! 🤩

Olen käyttänyt tuota samanlaista sahaa kaadettujen puiden karsimiseen.

Another fantastic video, Camilla. Is your home in Northern Finland or South? My husband keeps asking me. Lol. When you were looking at that book, I sincerely thought it was all your artwork. I had to go back and watch it again. The exhibit at the museum looked intriguing. Thanks for sharing some of your adventure.

Why are all house in Scandinavia red? Just curious
@camillafjaderКүн бұрын
It's due to the popular use of a naturally pigmented paint originally made from red dirt pigment, linseed oil and rye flour. It's been used since atleast the 17th century since making it was easy, cheap and it's still considered a very good anti-weathering paint to this day. Not to mention it's quite pretty! 😁

@ thank you for the explanation…I like the environmentally conscious element! And it is pretty..and sticks out in snow! (which I thought was a reason)

living in South Texas, I am not understanding why you are putting your blankets and pillows outside with snow on the ground? And, when are you going to start another painting?
@camillafjader2 күн бұрын
When it's well below 0 degrees, the air is at it's dryest which is the most effective for airing out bedding. Makes them feel and smell fresh. 😁 I think I've also heard that very low temperatures (like -18 or below) will kill dust mites. As for the rug, the super dry air combined with powdery snow a good way to sort of "wash" rugs that shouldn't be washed with water. Hopefully starting another painting soon, although I have quite a few that I still haven't finished.
