The original carb was a spagetti mess of vacuum lines. Mine ran great up to a few years ago, then i put on the Weber. Not sure how strict Cali is but might be hard to pass unless they have allowance for “classics”. Transmission (5 spd) had troubles getting oil splash up to input/center shaft bearings, gets loose in 1st gear, pops out of gear if really bad.

Yes ive seen the vacuum diagrams and its an absolute mess including a vacuum pump run off the crank pulley
