Have you watched Sailing Uma? They're a Canadian/Haitian (yes, really) couple who followed a similar track, sailing across the Atlantic from Canada and the Caribbean to the UK and then spent some months in The Netherlands. They've now been in Norwegian waters, right into the Arctic circle, for many months, in all weathers. You might find their videos educational, to say the least, apart from the fact that they're a pretty formidable pair! And, just for future reference, it's Schengen, pronounced sort of like "Sheng-un". It's a town in Luxembourg. Other than that, I rather think you've got a perfect plan...

Don't forget, we speak English here, not Australian. Thongs are not worn on the feet but a few feet higher up. However flip-flops are worn on the feet. Bangs are noisy, fringes are styled by hair dressers.

Honestly, 100% head for Tobermory on Mull in the West Coast of Scotland. What a cool place. Difficult sailing but you guys are good enough. The Med is boring in comparison. Add Sheildaig, Plockton etc in the same area.

Adam, well done, when in doubt just reach out!? What could go wrong, you get ignored who cares, but 2 hours later a response as you got. Same with the sailing plan, love it get more sailing in head west than back easy more sailing excellent. I am no sailor but have done plenty of travelers and the med is just overrated. You'll get there for sure eventually but no rush there is a world to explore. You have the system dialed though, positive vibes, no BS, just honest videos of real life. God on you two for documenting it all. Bet its a real pain more often than not...

Do not get into Norway later then mid-June. It is a long coast and a lot to see. Get most of your provisioning before leaving UK unless you have a s...load of money to spend ;)). Seafood is plentiful and the best part is that it is free as long as you have the right equipment. Get up to northern Norway as soon as possible after checking into Norway and rather use the time to explore fjords and cities on the way down since the summer lasts longer here. Good luck and welcome to Norway.

Adam I am starting to think you have an obsession with Blue water boats, so here in the Pacific North West you can still buy a Cape George 31, 36, 38 or 40’ they still build them like they did in the 70’s through the 90’s they still have huge thick hulls non cored, and 45% lead ballast Cutter rigged go anywhere boats you can also just buy the hull and ballast or anywhere in between a finished boat, Cape George Marine Works in Port Townsend Washington, Magic Carpet is performing a refit on a Cape George 36’.

Have you thought visiting Baltic sea and Stocholm archapelago and Åland? I am Finnish sailor and havent really noticed that any sailing youtubers have been here (exept RAN sailing as they are swedish). Even in generall seems like only some German boats visit here. These archapelagos seem to be very unigue with all the thousnads islands with narrow, but well marked passages between them, old fishing villages and barren, but pretty landskape.

I’m not sure about both your passports but Australian passport holders have a few caveats on Schengen time 90/180. France & Italy both have visa waivers that allow a further 90 days . Such a pity that you won't stay in the EU as long as you planned! Surely there will be a way to get a permit to cruise through European seas with enough time next year. Besides the wonderful Mediterranean I recommend sailing the quite challenging North Sea and the more relaxing but also interesting Baltic Sea, too. Would be happy to help you with the bureaucracy.
