Hey Imogen! I just heard back from my final two unis today. (UCL and LSE - coincidentally on the same day!) I'm planning on firming LSE, with Uni of Sussex as my insurance, to study History. Your videos have been so great and insightful the whole waiting period, and especially now as I can get to know what LSE is like! Thank you so much for sharing your videos :)

Hey! Love your videos. Do you think studying in London is worth it? I'm waiting to hear back on my LSE offer for next year. If I get it though, I'm just concerned about the cost of living in London, high expectations from the LSE and also lack of nightlife and social time? Thanks Imogen
@ImogenWhite3 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely! The cost of living is offset by the availability of jobs and how much they pay. Sharing a room in halls could bring down the cost too. The nightlife and social side is what you make it. There are club nights but I go to lots of house parties and Society socials.

@@ImogenWhite thank you ! How is the work load and the expectations from staff at the university? Do you think it’s significantly greater than other universities? I appreciate you taking the time to get back to me

Hi, I am in a bit of a predicament when it comes to accommodation and if you have any information or advice I would be so grateful! I have only received 2 offers which are the ones I want to accept but I have 3 outstanding. So I can’t accept any of the offers until the rest come back. However at my top university, for accommodation, it is a first come first serve basis and there is an affordable en-suite on campus but there is only 20 en-suite rooms in that court. So it’s really a race to see who will apply first. But I can’t apply for the accommodation without accepting the uni offer first. And I can’t accept the uni offer without the rest. Would it help if a withdrew the outstanding universities offers and accept the 2 I have already received? Do you think it is wise to do that or should I consider trying to email my top university to try to apply for accommodation before accepting the offer?
@ImogenWhite3 жыл бұрын
If you're confident that even if you had all 5 offers you'd still go for the two you have then I'd withdraw from the others but if there's any seed of doubt in your mind, I'd be tempted to wait because there will always be accommodation available for the university you want to go to, even if it is slightly further away!
@KailaAndersonn3 жыл бұрын
@@ImogenWhite thank you! I feel a bit of doubt about withdrawing because I would like to see whether I am good enough to get into the RG I applied for but don’t want to go to.

What a great position to be in. Make a pros and cons list for each uni!
@ImogenWhite2 жыл бұрын
Warwick is very different to LSE and Kings in terms of lifestyle, you're on a campus and everyone lives near each other. London on the other hand offers both the advantages and disadvantages of a big city - maybe watch my pros and cons of London uni video to see whether the pros outweigh the cons for you!

What happens if you get rejected by all your choices
@ImogenWhite3 жыл бұрын
There is this thing called 'Extra' where you can add another choice. You can find out more about here on the UCAS Website: www.ucas.com/undergraduate/after-you-apply/types-offer/extra-choices Hope this helps!
