Before Downtown Disney, one of my favorite things to do was play with the radio-controlled Jungle Cruise boats at the Disneyland Hotel. For $2.00 you could pilot a miniature boat (complete with miniature skipper and guests) around a small pond with a Jungle Cruise loading area and other features. When you guided your boat through the various features, it would trigger a special effect (like how the shooting gallery in Frontierland works). I really miss those little boats!

Can’t believe you talked about Naples without mentioning the big creepy face that used to hang out front. That’s one of the most vivid images I have of going to Disneyland as a kid

Haha! I think I tried to block it out of my mind. That thing was nightmare fuel.

The Void and go to Trader Sams are great options. Garden Grove is good to, because using ART is the best.

When it was still there, I enjoyed the atmosphere at Rainforest Cafe and while I didn't love the food, I would eat there just for the rainforest experience. Outside of the Disney property, my favorite places to eat are the IHOP on Harbor (cheap food after staying in the parks til closing) and the Cheesecake Factory at Anaheim Gardenwalk

Hey. My girl and her friend stayed at the Disneyland resort hotel. We went to the Tiki bar. We loved it and my girl asked how did I find out about this place. I told her I found it on your channel. She loves your channel now because of it.

I actually went to Disney World recently so I can give some opinions. (Even the places nearby are so similar, like wow.) I liked the disney store! I often found that the store in Disney Springs was WAY too big. I didn't buy anything because I always got way too overwhelmed. But it was super nice to look around. The lego store was nice too. I took some pictures of the lego statues, they're dope. I bought some socks in like a kiosk. That was cool. I ate some chicken at a restaurant(ish) called Chicken Guy that was ok. Disney Springs is nice to walk around for a little while. Regarding Disney themed restaurants its been...maybe 12 years or more years since this happened, but my mom used to work at one called Chef Mickey (in florida, ofc) and that was my favorite place ever when I was a child, even though I can't remember anything about it. That's it, I guess lol this comment is long. I'll come for you one day, California.
@Disneylander5 жыл бұрын
Well that's a great overview, thank you! Disney Springs is really fun. It's bigger than Downtown Disney, but a bit less accessible than Downtown Disney, so that's a bummer. I definitely enjoy it though! And yes! Get to California!

You have provided some great options. I’ll have to try some of those the next time I’m there. Side note: you could end your videos by quoting Mara. “You looked into my eyes. Your path now leads to the Gates of Doom!” Or the other option, “You looked into my eyes! Your destiny now lies beyond the Gates of Doom!”
@dannytodisneyandbeyond64165 жыл бұрын
Or you could end it on a happy note, and just give the three options, and never say the “you looked me in the eye,” if that makes sense.

Way back in the wayback in the days of yor when sliced bread was first discovered xD....I used to always go to oldschool Disneyland Hotel and checked out the shops and entertainment there as well. They had a show called Dancing Waters which was a favorite of mine (RIP) as well as Colored Waterfalls (RIP) which was great and amazing fun at night. As well as playing in the underwater arcade which was a neat experience. Would rent a paddle boat and go paddle boating. Would play with both the mini remote control boats and the remote control cars too! Would always enjoy a walk around Disneyland Hotel grounds and sit and watch a band that would be playing too. :). Oh ya also dine at Monorail Cafe and I think there was a place called Mazie's Pantry...wow they made the best burgers ever!!!.... but always enjoyed a good lunch at both places. :)
@Disneylander5 жыл бұрын
That's so awesome! I've heard of the dancing waters, I wish it was still there. Sounds like a lot of fun things! It's a shame to lose some of those old classics, but Disney is pretty good about replacing them with more fun stuff.
