This is true, I think the key is to be personal but never private. Workbuddies can betray you also yourself can slip and tell someone even if u didnt mean to harm.

I'm here because my best buddy at work got a new job and is leaving the company this week. I've been a little depressed about it. I'm sure we'll stay friends, but it's not the same as when you see someone everyday and have lunch with them every day.
