Another Q & A for Ash please. Going thru a mates gearbox. once the tripper bolts, that were replaced, were tightened down, they would not engage the starter/kicker gear to pull it off the cluster gear. In fact the entire counter shaft would get stuck, kicker lever would not return to upright. can't find any info in any manual I've seen btw. What I did, well, had to do, was, loosen them from the outside, hoping the tripper end didn't spin, and basically loosen them up a bit. after I got it working consistently, tightening up a little at a time, it all got sorted BUT, I am now worried they might come loose inside. Outside has been staked, just feeling a bit dodgy about it. Cheers in advance.

Hi Ash referring back to rear chain adjustment my chain on the wla is new will it eventually stop stretching I am nipping it up every couple of weeks to get rid of slap on the chain guard Cheers Tim from downunder
