I turned 32 days ago and I was feeling sad lately. But this video placed some hope in my heart.

In my case I believe that I am called to singleness for life. I did not always believe this fact, but now I do. I learned that there are many problems from my childhood that still haunt me today. I am in a recovery program for dealing with the issues that occurred back then, but one of the requirements of the program is that I remain celibate while in the process of recovery. And once I realized that this is the best path for me to walk I was able to accept singleness. I look forward to serving God exclusively in the future.

This is good information, even though it’s hard. When young women talk about being devastated about still being single in their 30s, I wonder how they would feel if they were 56 years old and still single - like me. I’ve never been married and have no kids. It’s excruciating. I’ve been praying for a husband since I was 18. Over the last 2 years, I’ve lost both parents. At times, the grief and loneliness are almost unbearable. I pray that I won’t have to grow old alone. Waiting is hard.

I’m 28 and never dated before. Never been pursued. The season I’m in is rejection in all aspects of my life. All doors are closed. I haven’t done much since I graduated college. I’m behind my peers in career, finances, love, and housing. God wants me doing nothing right now, but spending time with him. I don’t know how my bills are going to be paid though.

Oh my ..! I was feeling pretty low today only for the fact that one of my neighbour who is also younger to me is getting married and were celebrating this occasion. But i stumbled upon this video... I have watched a lot of other videos on singleness but somehow i feel this is the Lord telling me to have patience.. and it was just a reminder to self. Thank you for this video ✨🙏

Omg Heather! I am jus waiting. I don't know when it's gonna happen. There's absolutely no prospects right now. What do I do?!
@HeatherDanielleMitchell3 жыл бұрын
I completely relate to that feeling! But I just want to encourage you that just because there are no prospects, doesn't mean God isn't working. Keep pursuing Him, focusing on the things you love, your goals and purpose. And remember to position yourself - get outside your routine and try to go somewhere new each week. Slow down and take your time and allow yourself to be approachable when you are out. Feel free to send me an email if you want to talk more!

I love that point that God used your time of singleness for you to be there for and encourage your sister. Life's not all about us and its easy to focus so much on ourselves that we lose sight of how we can encourage, serve, and help others and build them up in their walk with the Lord. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philipians 2:4-8

When a guy asks you out, say yes. When a guy befriends you, befriend him. Don't be snobs. Be less like you and be more like me. Say yes.

Just assume you’ll be alone and discontent forever cause you probably will be. If it doesn’t happen in your 20’s it’s not gonna happen.

God’s true law never allows divorce. Sooo wrong. What he does permit is annulment (which is where you can prove the marriage was never valid in the first place or separation in the event of abuse)
@HeatherDanielleMitchell3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I was just saying that may have been the road at THAT point in my life when I was immature and not ready - definitely not condoning divorce. However, I also believe there is grace for those who have gone through it.
