Concrete without steel, is broken into chunks, and used as a stone substitute, in areas of the country, without a quarry in the area.

I have an old Quickrete path maker mold to use for excess concrete. It has various sizes for each stone that makes up the mold. You can use the whole mold with 60lb bag, or less for individual path stones. 🤓

Thanks for the AWESOME videos/ great insight/ ideas. I'm thrilled I found this channel before beginning concrete art. Notes to help me remember points made: 1. Small molds 2. test pieces 3. use waste as an aggregate/ fill; (+ keep leftover excess concrete in small, manageable pieces- e.g. 1" thick slab, then divide into 'ice cube' size w/ trowel to ez separate later). **BE SURE to wet it before using in new concrete. 4. *Test tiles: If you use quality acrylic paints, they are already tested & assigned a lightfast rating- skip step. 5. Other testing suggested = great idea: e.g. test pieces in water & to freeze. Demolition testing- sounds fun. (Idea-maybe make a wedge with waste concrete, to allow variation from thin to thick, to test thickness strength). 6. Don't leave the waste concrete in one big huge chunk that you cannot lift or do anything with it. "That would be bad." ha ha. perfect. 7. Expensive to dispose of. Shoot for minimal waste. (One of the 1st concrete sculptor artists I checked out on concrete art had absolutely NO experience, & spoke of how his batch turned solid before he could do anything at all with it. He was making something for his mom, & said he "Ended up with a big concrete rock for mama." I'm still laughing a year or 2 later, when that statement comes to mind.

Have you heard of someone adding glue to Styrofoam aircrete epic Mix? So basically it would be glue, EPS Foam pebbles, hemp dust, foam(soap/water) and concrete. With the right amount of glue, a more insulated version of the Styrofoam aircrete could be held together with more strength. You could even use this method for rammed earth with a thin layer of epoxy to create ambient light in the walls

Can't you just break up the leftover concrete and use it for drainage in a flower bed?

While the concrete is still green it is very easy to break up.
