Love the detailed cut of wood for the new chalkboard back Zeb recreated for the replacement mirror as I was thinking to just put a straight piece of wood on top the entire size of the back. Your attention to detail makes all the difference!😁. Next time I see something like that without a drawer, I won't hesitate to snatch it up!Thanks for another great video 👍❤

Love watching you two and your videos are teaching me so much. Repaired a leg with Amazing silicone and Bondo and now attempting to make a "crate" drawer for a nightstand that was missing one.

I have a sideboard of similar size with mirror. Mine is hand made & carved across top and front ends of mirror. My husband took it in trade for electrical work many years ago and brought it home as a surprise. It's made of butternut wood. Your turned out great!

Hello! I have an old vintage dresser and majority of the drawers are falling apart. I have the fronts to them all. I was wondering if I can do what you did on re-creating the drawers with the original fronts? I do not want to get rid of them at all since they are really lovely.

I am addicted to your work! You and Zeb are an inspiration to watch, you both have such amazing talent! And Jack, of course, is a doll! I love that he wears the noise reducing ear piece and safety glasses when he's out in the garage working with his dad! Lol and I must commend you both also for your consistent reminders re: safety and the appropriate precautions to take when needed!! Lots of other tutorials don't even mention safety, never mind practice it themselves! So it's refreshing to see you guys with the masks and stuff on!! I just missed your milk paint sale by one day this past weekend! I was so bummed:(( but I do need to order a lot of stuff anyway so I'm wondering if you ever do sales on "everything" ever?? I would like to STOCK UP, and as u know that will be pretty expensive!!?? And if so how do I get notifications of your paint sales? I just happened to hear you mention the last sale mid-video... But I could of just as easily missed you saying it!? Let me know, and keep up the awesome videos!!! I love to binge watch them!!!!

How would you make a duplicate of the original drawer? I liked it, and I'd rather not have a "shabby chic" look.
@JamiRayVintage7 жыл бұрын
I would use a hardwood, probably oak because it’s the most plentiful and instead of staples I would dovetail the pieces together. It’s still just a square box. But instead of leaving the gap at the top like I did in this video you would make it fill the entire space. Hope that helps! -Zeb

Turned out great!! I love the crate inserts that Jeb whipped up. Just curious, I noticed that the back of that piece isn't painted to match the front. Do you always leave the unseen parts unpainted? Has a customer ever complained? I don't mind, since it's the back. Just curious what customers thought 😊
@JamiRayVintage7 жыл бұрын
We typically paint what the factory paints. We almost never paint the back of dressers/hutches because those typically aren’t trimmed out and are meant to go against a wall.

How do you get your brushes so clean, even with a good wash I still don't seem to get a soft brush?
@JamiRayVintage7 жыл бұрын
Mandy BEWKES we occasionally soak them in fabric softener overnight. Then wash that out really well. Clean and softens them up really well.
@janetholmes31677 жыл бұрын
I wash mine in dawn and then fisinsh them off with ZOTE soap. It's made with lard and it keeps my $$ bristle brushes like new. It helps to condition the brisltes!! I cut a big piece off and keep it in a container under the sink- I run my brushed over it like a shaving brush and massage it through, wash out until clean. Works!!!
