Coal can be bought for super cheap from the big sprite man in sprite field. You can get more than enough to power what you need.

No, the easier way is you can just ship 1 coal to the bin, and the general store will sell it the next day. It's not true that it's hard to get coal in the game.

I like that you can collect the chests every time, but I wish there was a way to remove the lakes. Maybe someday in an update. Thank you for this video, now I can stop trying to remove the lake 😅

I was today years old when I found out you could hammer the small pools to remove them after draining. The villagers say they will go away on their own after a few days (actually overnight), but I didn't know you could expedite this.

Ponds contains sometimes rare sprarkling fish. Mostly crawfish, giant shrimp prawns, dace, and yellow perch.

I get 6 sparkling fish on a single sit on the river between area 1 and 2, ditch the pond

Thanks for the video! I emptied the area 2 pond today and wondered why the pump wasn’t working after it filed back up. Also never realized you can hit the smaller ponds with the hammer to get rid of it. Ive been emptying them and waiting for the next day for then to go away

your videos are so helpful, I recently started pioneers of Olive town (my first SOS game as I'm a big Stardew fan and thought this would be fun, which I'm loving it so yes it was) and I had the message come up about using the pumps to purify the water but the game didn't tell me how to make them at all and I didn't have the crafting recipe either so I've been confused bout them. now I know you unlock the recipe levelling up the skill (which I didn't realize draining those large puddles with the chests was a skill)

You can fish at the ponds in your farm. I caught 9stars crawfish. The level of fishes varies.

Not being able to remove them is a massive dealbreaker for me with this game. I know it probably seems stupid to people but, they are so obnoxious, I can't plan my farm the way I want to, they're just right in the middle of everything.

I had a big stockpile of coal for the longest time and never knew what to do with it so eventually sold it... now that I know what it’s for it is damn near impossible to find :(

Oh, you unlock the pump at lv 5 bucket skill? When I found area 2, I didn't have my skill that high, and I just used the bucket to drain the lake. Right after I drained it, I unlocked the pump recipe. So I thought that they intended for you to drain the lake with a bucket to unlock the pump recipe. xD

The elder sprite will sell coal for the coins you get from them, tbh I don't like the large ponds I wish I could get rid of them.

You can process jewels in the jewel maker and they're quite valuable when you sell them! Especially diamond, you can sell for 10k! Some can be used for crafting recipes such as the giant jewel maker and there is also a wedding dress, but unless you really want to save for these, they're safe to sell!

This question isn’t related to the big ponds, but to the smaller ponds (seen at 7:27) that you can easily use your bucket to remove water from. It’s been in-game weeks - maybe even one season - since the hole has been there, and I am unable to hammer the hole away. It has yet to fill back up with water. Is this a glitch? Has this happened to anyone? Is it possible for me to get rid of the hole?

I'm afraid that sounds like a glitch. 😭 Usually they would go away on their own, or by hammering them. Not sure what to do... Have you tried to see if you could place a building or something on top to make it disappear? I don't think it would work, but might be worth a try.

What platform are you playing this on? Seems like the game has serious trouble loading in new areas. It's very choppy. Was thinking of getting this for the Switch, but if it's this laggy, I may have to pass on this one. My Time At Portia has soured me to these types of games on the Switch unfortunately... Looks like it would be fun though.

It's only available for the Switch at the moment. 😔 However the developers have announced plans to work on this and hopefully performance should get better in the coming months!

You can actually fish in the pond while the water is clear

For me it unlocked when I got my first coal in the second mine. Then I was able to craft the lump of coal. Same with the glass

I believe when you clear one of the ponds, the sprites open a new area for you with that third pond.

Btw god... i hate that appraisal girls voice... makes me cringe everytime i hear it & it sounds just as worst in english. I turn the sound down when i have a lot of bags for appraisal. It sort of reminds me of valley girl voice but 10 times worst. I mean i'm not knocking the style of voice tho, as i sometimes get that way when im in a good mood lol. Honestly it drives me crazy that Animal Crossing has had ways to check all fossils at once for ages and this game you have to click 1 at a time? I love this game but that’s inexcusable in this day and age. All that does is waste way too much of my time.

This heavily has the look and feel of a mobile game. With those rows of machines and objects with their slowly filling status bar to indicate progress is dictated by excessive time wasting. I havent played the game but that looks extremely offputting to me.
