Looking for easy no stress Slow Stitching? Create a Rectangle! If you have tried slow stitching but don’t know what to do with it when it’s finished, let me help!
I’ll show how you can take a simple rectangle shape, add a fabric patchwork collage, cover it in Slow Stitching and then transform your stitched piece into something functional and beautiful.
So join me as I stitch a rectangle to make a mini book with pages, I’m also going to give all the details to show how with a few tweaks you can create multiple alternate projects all starting with the humble rectangle as a base.
See the links below for projects you can create with a rectangle.
Slow stitching this way is so relaxing because you don’t have to think about following a complex pattern or worry about your stitches being perfect. It’s all about free flowing relaxing creativity. Stitch Along with Me! #slowstitching

They are really pretty. You could also make an envelope pouch, a pouch for scissors (folding lengthwise), or make a smaller square for a coaster.

You do have the talent you just need to get started. I felt the same way earlier, I just started messing around, listening to the tutorials, and following her advice and basically having fun. Don't worry you'll get the hang of it. Just practice and have fun. God bless.

The felt is to keep the needles from rusting. I think the felt you used looks like acrylic or some man made fiber. I guess that must protect the needles. I always assumed one should use all wool felt or felt with a lot of wool in it to really protect metal. Am I wrong? Now I have picky comment over, I most say I enjoyed watching your creative process and I look forward to watching more of your KZbin videos.

@@KathyDowning-l1g I haven’t heard that but it makes sense that the lanolin in wool would help prevent rusting. 😊🧵🪡

@@carolentringer8836 I use 2 strands of the 6 stranded floss and for the pearl cotton I use the one twisted strand.
