It's sometimes a bit confusing on what one can eat what not. I.e.: no eggs, no bananas, no potatoes, also no sweet potatoes? And why no eggplant or tomatoes? I just started today with my second ED as the first one didn't go so well. ;) What I usually have in the morning now is a green smoothie or porridge now more often than before, I skip the lunch until around 17h where I have lunch/dinner (different kinds of salad with a variety of vegetable, soups or a mix of vegetable and legumes) and in between snacks such as nuts or fruits. So basically 2 big meals a day and that's enough with all the fiber and protein. ;) I like to keep it simple and not spend too much time in the kitchen but still have what my bod needs. It has worked well so far. Thank you for your advice and tips!!! :) Is very much appreciated.

The copy of the elimination diet my Dr gave me says no grains of any kind including quinoa. Also says no stevia.

Grains are my biggest problem! I agree with cutting them out to see how you feel. I was eating clean but still having bloating, and so I tried the Paleo diet that cuts out grains, and I noticed a huge difference

If all foods are broken down into glucose to be used by our cells as fuel why are added sugars to sweeten healthy items not allowed? Are they not broken down also into glucose? My understanding is that its the fats we have overconsumed plugging up our cells that make sugars a problem uptalking glucose so if our cells are cleaned from excess fats is sugar really a problem as getting in enough calories trying an elimination diet while being whole food plant based is hard enough and adding sugar seems like a better way to balance it all and keep it tasty....
