Tip for a filling meal, I eat this either for breakfast or dinner every day: In a 10 bamboo bowl, fill it half with organic spring mix ($5/lb) and arugula. Top with 1 cup cooked whole grains, 1 cup cooked beans or lentils. Mix or match: sliced beets, carrot, corn, mushrooms, celery, bell peppers, peas, green beans, red onion, etc. You're trying to fill that trough full. I mix 1 Tablespoon dressing with 3 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar for a tangy dressing. If I eat another meal, it's 1 cup beans and 1 cup hulled barley. I'm completely stuffed for the day and satisfied...like I ate a nutritious, filling meal. And no late night snacking eating this way.

I bought your book. Now I am hoping you have a lot of good interesting recipes in the book. I have gotten used to eating beans and rice a lot lately, and definitely low to no fat in the diet. I still have not gotten off of eating protein, but I try to eat it only once in a while. Nonetheless, I believe in what you guys are saying. I am a Type 2 who is finally getting ahold of some good intel after having done keto in 2018 and having a heart attack due to covid two years later. Lately, my blood sugars have been in the high 100s to high 200s due to eating more of the carbs that your book prescribes.

Love that you suggest shopping for produce at the ethnic markets, but those groceries usually don’t offer organic options. Does that cause you any concern, or do you have suggestions for when shopping for produce at these locations? Thank you kindly (and very much appreciate the video).

Jersey shore here. Lost 25 pounds, following mark hyman, dr berg, glucose goddess and stopped Metformin. My HbA1c is 5.8 for 3 mo the without Metformin vs prior result of 5.8 with Metformin. Lab work is all good. I am trying to reduce spikes and eating no bad carbs, sugar or alcohol.

Hi. Could you please elaborate on that? Which food? R U T1D? I am still on the fence with grains and fruits because I'm afraid of spikes and lows.
