What to expect for an echocardiogram

An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of your heart that provides information on your heart’s structure and function. This procedure involves laying on a table while an echo tech conducts the ultrasound using gel (no radiation). It can help diagnose common conditions, such as heart failure, congenital heart disease and valve problems. If you’re technically difficult scan then you may need an IV for Definity or Optison echo enhancing agent. It would help see your heart much better

@@HotRoute7 it can be a life saving test. If you don’t get one when you need one. Your going to end up with multiple IVs anyways in the ER/cath lab
