Hi Dave, i have just come across your channel, 18 months ago i was homeless and started a mobile car wash to try to get out of a hole. It was the best thing i ever did and i now a have a fairly big customer base of regulars, it`s still growing. I am based in East Sussex, so lots of wealthy people and top cars. I am looking to use your tips on up selling to make more per car, thank you.

@@epicautomotivedetailing I am originally from Brighton, although in 1990 i went on a surfing holiday to Cornwall and ended up staying for 30 years. Money got really hard to earn down there and i ended up staying on friends sofas. I was inspired by a episode of the apprentice where he sent them out washing cars. So, out i went brought a bucket, sponge, shampoo, dying towel, wax and cloths. I started my first day by knocking on doors in the neighborhood. 4 hours work resulted in £80 Later that night i was talking to a mate back in Brighton, he offered to put me up for a month, and told me to come back and go for it in Brighton. Another friend offered me 6 weeks in a spare room after that. In those 10 weeks i was able to make enough to rent my own place and restart my life. At this moment in time i would say that i have around 100 cars that do on a monthly basses, some fortnightly. Over the next few months i am going to hit the up sell, as soon as i can afford the yum cars brushes and chems. I am truly grateful for you uploading your daily/Product reviews and the rest, i have learnt so much.

@andybinns49932 жыл бұрын
@@Simon-kh2dd Thank you, and no it was not easy. I started on foot, purposely knocking houses that had driveways and outside taps. I`m now on a peddle bike and go further afield. I have built a round where all the cars are close by on a certain day. I have a handful of places where i`m in the same road all day. Yes it takes time, i have met some great kind people and i love my work. Dave`s videos have shown me that with just a few extra products i can probably double my income and save time.

Another fantastic video Dave. You're certainly right about the ones who think it's really easy or spending loads will make them a better valeter. Experience is the key. Unless he's unable to, may I suggest that you let your dad drive home. If you already have a headache, it will only make you boil over more. I heard you say you are not using your AVA pressure washer in your latest video, mentioning that it is blowing fuses. I purchased a AVA 160 Evolution recently after your review on these machines, my machine has started doing the same, I am just about to contact AVA, have you managed to sort the problem as it seems if you pull the trigger before switching on it does not happen

Hello mate I test them. Yes the problem was the extension lead i was using. It was too thin causing it to trip out.

Hey Dave I always see you spray on the car after your final rinse, is that a wax? And also do you use that as a drying aid or a way to wax the car and dry it at the same time?
@epicautomotivedetailing2 жыл бұрын
It's a quick detailer mate. So spray and wipe and it offers protection

What drying towel do you use for the matte/satin cars? As i ended up scratching mine
@epicautomotivedetailing2 жыл бұрын
Drying the car is the most common cause of scratches. So many factors may of caused that. There would have to be something inbetween the surface of the paint and the towel to cause a scratch maybe
