Tarnie, can you educate me what will be the kind of work of a enrolled nurse? Is it the same with AIN the difference were EN we’re giving medication?
@tarniehorner79533 жыл бұрын
Definitely a bit more responsibility than an AIN but many similarities. You’ll do the same just more and be a little more in charge of the patients care and yes you’ll be doing some meds too :)

Hii Tarnie first of all i would like to thankyou for all of your videos of nursing guidelines. I need to ask you something about the Enrolled nursing diploma that i am not from the medical background. So do i need to clear my basics of biology? As i have already 7 each in PTE and very soon i will be there for the admission in diploma.
@tarniehorner79533 жыл бұрын
Not sure exactly what PTE means but I do not have any background in biology or the medical field. You’ll just need to understand basic maths and English :)

How far in the course Do you have to do this test
@mannat96533 жыл бұрын
and Secondly, Would to like to share some experience with the LLN test please. Is it compulsory?
@kr66043 жыл бұрын
If you haven’t been in school for a few years then you will have to do it. I just finished mine, if english is your first language it should be extremely easy, the maths however has lots of hard questions so best to catch up and revise on your maths. I have multiple friends who did the LLN test before me and they said the maths part was so silly but just revise on all things maths. Algebra, fractions, mean-median etc. Don’t stress yourself out though as the results only last 15 months so if you don’t get the scores you need ( i was told exit level 4 working at 5 for both to get into nursing) you can come back after 15 months and try again

Are they forcing the vaccine on students? Just wondering because I am planning on studying EN but so unsure 😬 xo
@estellaepsley46832 жыл бұрын
Yes. You can not work in any health care without the Covid vaccine. You can’t do placement unless you’re Covid vaccinated, without placement you fail stage one and can’t progress further.
@brainybroccoli44992 жыл бұрын
You have to have a full suite of the following vaccinations to work in a hospital in Australia: Influenza - annually Hepatitis B - One complete course Tuberculosis - Vaccination or evidence of immunity (once) Varicella (ie: chicken pox/shingles) - once (need show evidence of varicella immunity via serology [blood test]) Measles, Mumps & Rubella - once only Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis - every 10 years Covid-19 - two vaccinations

Hi Tarnie! , is your EN course also include medication unit ? Given it 1.5 year ? , I saw some places in Victoria are offering diploma for 2 years, I’m so confused why is it 2 years .!
