Hi guys, I’m actually in the process of moving to Holland from the Chicago area. I started my new job in Holland at the end of August.

Could you guys stop by the Holland Parks Department and find out why Andy can't seem to plant any trees. That would be super wonderful.

All the lake shore Holland, Grand Haven and Saugutuck, it’s pretty, but expensive, houses are expensive and taxes are extremely high!!!! The closest to the water you are the more $$$ you are going to pay!!!!

That is very accurate. We definitely pay a premium to be by water in Michigan. You would think with 11,000 lakes it wouldn’t be so bad.

Thanks for the video! Holland is beautiful! Are streets heated as well or just sidewalks? When does the first snowfall hit? I’d love to see a video in rainy/snowy weather.❄️

@Alexis Yes Holland put in heated sidewalks on 8th Street. I don't live there now but did when they put them in. Hope you enjoy yourself there. I grew up there and left in 2000. Family all live in Texas.

Hello - Great video, Holland is beautiful. thanks for sharing! Two questions- #1 -Which cities in West Grand Rapids offer reliable high-speed Internet for remote workers? #2 - Which builders offer extended garages that will fit two 4 wheel drives?
@livinginwestmi2 жыл бұрын
Hello Julie! Most West Michigan cities offer high speed internet. Because we get a lot of snow. Most garages offer at least one side long enough for a 4x4 truck. You hoping to move here?

@@livinginwestmi Thanks for reply Kevin and Ross! Will be going Nomad for a few months in my Silverado Turbo Diesel (love my truck and my Jeep) 😀 and hope to be in West Grand Rapids area by August. Will be my first time in Michigan so I'm excited to explore a few areas and yes, I'm considering moving there. My favs so far are Byron Center and Holland, but open to other areas. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Best neighbohoods? Most desirable regions? Neighborhoods to stay away from?

All of Holland is pretty great. But unfortunately you are a woman, so as you are surely aware ALL men are predators and ALL women are victims or soon-to-be victims. That seems to be the pervasive mantra. So, regardless of where you live, plan on viewing the world go by from inside your home behind locked doors.

You didn’t really actually address anything of what to expect for Holland at all. The schools aren’t the greatest, gotta keep an eye out for gangs(they clear them out every few years but they come back) and drugs. The area isn’t all that flat either. Holland isn’t just beaches and Dutch. There’s loads of factories for work. There’s a lot of different ethnicities that reside in Holland as well. This video was probably the least informative for what to expect when moving to Holland 😂
