I live in Austin, tx. It’s humid as heck here. Today here it’s 107 here and the low is 80 and it’s humid. I lived in upstate NY for 3 years. I loved the winter. I loved being able to camp in the summer. Here if you camp in the Summer you might die. Seriously. The kids are off school and we stay inside with A/C. I hate it. I miss seasons. You have it good.

Central Texas here, an hour outside Austin, and we are DEFINITELY humid here. It varies, but it is NOT dry. That's West Texas. North, east, south coast, and central - all humid af.
@jandrew19942 жыл бұрын
You're wrong about the dry heat. Texas is HOT AND VERY HUMID and sticky hot nights with the low around 80 in the summer. Except for the very sparsely populated NW panhandle part, Texas is VERY humid. From San Antonio to Austin to Dallas-Fort Worth and eastward, it is HUMID HUMID HUMID. And Houston is just INSUFFERABLY humid!! If you want dry heat, think Arizona or New Mexico or Nevada... definitely NOT TEXAS!!!

The humidity is nothing, i lived in texas 7 years Florida for 5, living in Michigan on and off my hole life. Summers are not even close to that of a texas summer, and the summers are short. They leave out even in SW Michigan we have chance of snow until Mid May and mid September.

Texans biggest issue not dealing with snow if you can survive that you will be fine.

We live on the gulf coast east of Houston. I've never seen snow above maybe half an inch. When it comes to hurricane proofing a house, we got that. I have no idea how to deal with the snow. We're looking to possibly make the move to west Michigan by summer 23.
@livinginwestmi2 жыл бұрын
We could definitely help you learn how to deal with snow! It can be fun as it is annoying. What’s making you think to move to Michigan?
@West10422 жыл бұрын
Change of scenery. Outside of my 5 years in the military, I've lived in the same place going on 27 years. We only have 2 seasons here, room temp and oven. It would be nice to have 4 true seasons.

Howdy fellas. I'm Texan born and actually a home owner (believe it or not) in East Europe. Things have gotten a bit wacko out here and I've decided to come back to the states for awhile, stock pile some cash and buy me a trailer. I'll be postin' up there until I feel comfortable with comin back. Now don't get me wrong, I'm proud to be a Texan, damn proud. But I'm a Texan that just can't handle the damn heat. I reckon it's all the Northern and Eastern European blood I got, might be a genetic thing. Anyway, I'm moving down on to my cousins land and I aint never been to Michigan before! I'm really looking forward to it and I sure do appreciate y'all giving us this video! I do better in the north! Colder, greener places. And I'm really looking forward to owning a home in ya'lls state that I can go to anytime. (Even if it is an old trailer. Hahaha!) Wish me luck! Thanks so much! (Btw, I'm a swamp Texan. Right on the border of Louisiana! If there's a hurricane, it'll probably hit us. I know that humidity all too well! There's folks who get eaten by gators down here often. Guess I can't escape it, but at least I won't have to deal with it AS MUCH. )

I live in southwest Michigan and were planning to move to Texarkana area. Michigan sucks. snow is no fun. I've been here 27 years. the winter takes a toll on your vehicle and body. not only that, the politicians are horrible.

The big cities in Texas are flat, but with The Hill Country and the mountain ranges of West Texas, only 44% of Texas is flat. After 6 decades in Texas, I have never seen a tornado or known anyone who has. Statistically, DFW residents have a better chance of dying in flash flooding than a tornado.

Humidity in Michigan is more like stickiness that most skins types won’t handle, unfortunately this makes Michigan really bad at all seasons!

Study U-Tube videos. Read up on it. Take a driving course when here. Nothing like driving in it!! Pick quiet suburban street or quiet country road & practice!! Go islow.
