The architecture is not spanish, it's morrocan-mexican-india-spanish. Spain was dominated and influenced In all architecture by Morrocan and and Norther Africa, influenced by Roman Arch etc etc, it's a mixture, plus Spanish architecture do not use the bright colors😂😊

Hello, Great tips; however, I would not recommend wearing Sketchers shoes. I wore that brand on my first trip to San Miguel de Allende and found that the shoes didn't provide the support and traction needed to walk comfortably on cobblestones. My feet and back suffered the consequences. I would recommend shoes with good traction and support. I recently purchased a pair of Solemn hiking shoes, and that is what I will be wearing on my next trip. Note: I am not endorsing any specific brand, but I am just sharing this in to help.

Just came back from a week in San Miguel de Allende. You missed my three favorite parts of the city market: the gelato shop, the meat department and the large, refrigerated, beers of the world aisle. I was there in March 2023 and the fireworks were going off day and night. I’m surprised you did not know about the footwear since the city’s nickname is “the city of fallen women“. My brother did ask me how well I spoke Spanish and I replied “better than my Slovak“. I’m headed there for five weeks in April/May. It’s OK, I’ve got 12% of a plan 😊

Asking people from around the World where the best healthcare is they'll say the U.S.. the best roads are in Europe, best Tech in Japan and S. Korea etc etc...but almost unanimously they'll all agree; Mexico is the place to party. True experience.
