Something you could add to tip #1 is to touch the headers or engine when you arrive to see if it's hot. If you asked the owner to keep it cool, but it's warm, that's a huge red flag.

@@DiogoTorres17 I wouldn’t touch them in case of injury but feel the bike if it has been warmed up. Great tip
