Josh I can't speak for everyone else but I love hearing deer stories, especially of shoulder mounts. Also these videos you put out and the podcast have been real helpful on picking up some new ideas thanks for that. Hope to hear you and Reentmester on a podcast together soon.

First aide kit is paramount. Not always for you. I keep a tourniquet in my pack. When your miles into back country you never know.

Sweet!!! Some great ideas I need to incorporate in that one!!! I think everyone would agree, I pack way too much STUFF! 🤣

Good stuff! If you carry a minimalist first aid kit in your pack you can carry your tags in it as well. This way you can keep an eye on any first aid stuff that has a date on it. Like antibiotic ointment, medication n such. I have a similar set up as yours. (Including boot dryer) Thanks for sharing your set up!👍

Great idea with that sled and ramp. I had killed my first buck and could not lift up on my truck alone. My brother didn't get off work for another hour. I was near a residential area in a col-de-sac, when a family came home, unloaded from a caravan, and saw me struggling. The kids were yelling they wanted to see that deer and the father was kind enough to come over and help me.

Those vitamin c tablet containers work perfect for milkweed because the cap makes no sound when opening and closing but the only thing that sucks is its hard to kill the orange smell

All I do is pick up the front of the sled and rest it on the bottom edge of hatchback, then I grab the rear of sled with two hands and slide it in...no ramp or straps needed.

Great video Josh. Especially like the ramp idea. Being a solo hunter I'm always looking for ways to be more efficient. Keep up the great videos. Always learn something from them.

I hunt public and use an old trail cam strap and s clips with a lock on one side to hold bow and also I like the retracting clips that say a nurse would use on badge or janitor with keys that pulls back for calls, range finder, or you name it. Not my idea just read on forum

Great video, I’m always worried about protecting stuff at camp while your in the woods. At least trucks have security system. How are you sleeping? Tent?
@beforetheecho2 жыл бұрын
Hahah on this trip a warm bed in a cabin
@beforetheecho2 жыл бұрын
But I have a couple different tents and I've slept under a tarp for a few nights elk hunting by myself. My rule of thumb is be as comfortable as the situation and budget allows.
