I’m 13 and starting babysitting tomorrow so I think 13 is fine depending on ages of the kids and how many there are or maybe start as assisting the mother while she is in the home with you 😊

I feel, you should have a friend. I am 12, and my friend, whom is 13, both really want to babysit, so we are handing out flyers in our neighborhood tomorrow. I feel like it’s also good to have some experience with a cousin, sibling, family friend, etc…. Which I have experience with my 1 and 0 year old siblings, and my 4 year old family friend. I’ve been babysitting since I was 12. As long as you genuinely are responsible and you aren’t babysitting any young babies, I think it’s completely fine. Maybe it’s a good idea to reach out to family and friends when you start, or other people who already know you are trustworthy.
