the name jesus has only been in use for 400+ years. His name is Yahshua. The jewish people changed it to yeshua, because they did not believe He was the messiah. Then the greeks changed it to iesus. To all the purest out there saying everything is in Jesus name His name was "Yeshua" for 1500 years until the English language came along. It is not an incantation. The important thing is the reason... the motive for doing it. For The Remission of Sins. Some folks are saying that you are already saved at the point of baptism... but that is not what the scriptures say about it. Some folks say it is an outward show of what has already taken place in the heart. Someone made that up because it isn't in scripture. 1 Peter 3 teaches us that God is the audience and we direct our baptism in an appeal to him. Acts 22 says 'calling on the name of the Lord'. The best example of baptismal conversion that I'm aware of is Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. There is no mention of a crowd. There is mention of water (a prerequisite) And there is mention of belief (another prerequisite). And there is the example of [the great] confession (also a prerequisite). Also in the preceding passages... there is the message of the Gospel (the truth of Jesus) being taught (yet another prerequisite). These things are important to make baptism valid.

I think people are taking what they did (baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit or baptized in the name of Christ) and confusing it with what they SAID. Who knows what they said? "In the name of" simply means "upon the authority of" such as "Stop in the name of the law". We generally baptize using the words "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for the remission of your sins".

Yes. Since sins are removed in baptism, the logical result is a clear conscience. Also, because a person is a new creation, they have no past and so they are truly righteous. Finally, regeneration (rising with Christ in baptism), results in the new creation which is created as a righteous person - without the old sin nature. This is the justification of God. The justification of Man makes excuses for sin or denies or redefines it. The justification of God straightens a person out by starting over with a New Man! Justify literally means "to (re)make just" - this is what God does in baptism.

He didn’t put His whole being in flesh, just a small part, like He did with the burning bush. He just dwelled in the flesh longer than He did the bush. Also, He had a different intent for being in the flesh, He came in the flesh to fulfill the Law, and redeem His chosen. GOD is the ONLY one who could do this. The Law proved men couldn’t do it. Men failing was the whole reason for killing animals for the blood sacrifice. It never resolved the issue, only prolonged. GOD resolved it for good, by allowing the flesh He put Himself into to be the perfect sacrifice. That flesh only died after GOD knew every ordinance, letter, law, and whatever else was fulfilled. Jesus wouldn’t have died if GOD hadn’t left that flesh. Only GOD has the power to give and take life.

It is "In the name of the Father AND of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". If you skip the first "and" you no longer have what Matthew 28 says, in just about every translation and every Greek manuscript, and... You no longer have the Trinity. You have three names, not one. It's a baptism epidemic. So many just say it real fast, no one catches it, and most people are so afraid of any confrontation they will not say anything about it even if they knew. A person has to be in possession of God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost Before they can be baptized in water. Their sins has to be already washed away before they can be baptized in water. Why didn't the man invthe video mention the Greek for Acts 22: 16, Which says, rise and be baptized BECAUSE your sins have ALREADY been washed away by calling on the name of the Lord. Anyone who knows the Bible will know that Paul was already saved for 3 days before he was baptized with the Holy Ghost, but he wasn't baptized in water at that time.

So you mean to tell me that Jesus came and died and but the new covenant in place because our sins were already forgiven?????? Personally, I think that: 1. Both Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38 are scripture. Therefore, either pronouncements are OK; but 2. Since the apostles were fulfilling Jesus' Great Commission, and they pronounced Jesus' name, therefore, it is more biblically accurate to baptise in Jesus' name. Being baptized in the name of Jesus is something you DO, not something you say. We have no example in scripture of anyone saying anything when a person is baptized. In Acts 2 what was said when 3000 were baptized? I don't know, it doesn't tell us. In v37 they asked "what must WE DO..." and Peter told them what they had to do. Can we say " in the name of Jesus"? yes, you can but you don't have to say anything and the baptism is still scriptural. In Col it says in " word or deed do all in the name of the lord" so does that mean that everything you do, you must say "in the name of Jesus"? Do we have to say "in the name of Jesus" at the end of a prayer? No, there is no example of that being done either, it just has become one of our traditions.....No where in scripture does anybody say anything when a person is being baptized....

Yes there is a church and they said I can get baptized if I come to their Church if I participate in it every Sunday but I don't understand because they asked for donations and to be honest they like to be in people's lives. I don't understand that. Jesus didn't asked for money and to be honest there are always ppl in the church that judge others. I just like my privacy and plus I can't even go all the time because I don't have a car and I feel like I don't have to go to your church a couple of times in order to get baptized because I know Jesus won't want that.

I was saved by juses I felt it and he's a beautiful man...I give my life to him ...I don't want to judge others I want to help...but I have to fix me before anything ..... I removed toxic people in my life but there will always be people out there that are not good and take advantage but I always forgive because he for gives me many times for we are only human ....thank you for msg me and taking the time.😊

Nothing has to be said. The issue is the faith of the believer being baptized. So the teaching ahead comes to the Biblical conclusion. Then walking to the water and the baptism there is nothing that has to be said. They are being baptized into the Lord because that is the faith. Nothing the baptizer says is critical at the time of immersion.

Jesus is the one name for the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Baptism in Jesus name ,is to be baptised into Jesus. Baptism into the Titles and Attributes of God, Father ,Son and Holy Ghost , baptizes you into the Catholic church, the great harlot, her baptism rejects the name of Jesus. Faith always has action, Rom1:5 and Rom 16:26. Baptism is an action. If baptism is not a requirement for salvation, them why did Peter 3:21 and Jesus Mark 16:16 say it does? Jesus said repentance is a requirement for salvation, Luke 13:1-5. John said love is a requirement for salvation, I John 3:14-15. All of these are work of faith. Let me ask you this, if what you are saying is true of 1 Peter 3:21, could an blaspheming militant atheist get baptized and say he's good to go for heaven? Absolutely not, because that is never what has saved a person. The thief on the cross is an example for you. Regarding Mark 16:16, you're already working with a text that we're not exactly sure was in the original, but assuming it is, it doesn't contradict Luke 18:9-14, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4-5, Titus 3:5, Romans 5:1, Romans 8:1, John 3:16, John 5:24, and Romans 10:9-13.

Read Col 2:9-13, and you will clearly see that a person is spiritually dead before they are baptized! Thus you cannot be saved before it. Plus baptism is a burial. So what kind of people do you bury? Only dead people. Rom 6:4, Col 2:12.

Mathew 28:19 originally read "in My name" which later 'changed'to "the Father and of the Son and of the Holyspirit". Satan knows there is power in the name of "YASHUA" and so he changed the name in every other language.

Saving souls in the 21st century, you're teaching on baptism is wrong. You are a father you are son and you are a minister those are titles, the truth of the matter is you follow how Jesus taught the apostles. The reason why Paul and Peter says it two different ways is because Paul was not there with the disciples when Jesus walked the Earth, that's why Peter says in the name of Jesus Christ, Paul comes after Peter, and says Lord Jesus this is the correct way to baptize, what you are teaching is wrong. If you are a real Christian you will follow what Jesus taught the apostles. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ or Lord Jesus this is how you get saved and born-again and in the body of Christ Acts 2:38.
