I was just there last week. It truly is beautiful as is the rest of Croatia. We‘re fortunate to live in Austria so we‘re able to visit Croatia frequently.

Would be great if we could get the Habsburgs back, our local politicians are going to be the death of us.
@charlieranger45983 жыл бұрын
@@Cyricist001 Well the Habsburgs were good for us in terms of better than to be under the Ottoman Empire. After World War I, when the Habsburg Empire broke apart, we should have stay at our own. The politicians aren't popular in other democratic contries too. We are still practising and like in other post-communist states Croatia is still suffering from the old habits like corruption etc. I hope, one day we will overcome those adversities! In order to reach this goal we have to learn and to show social cohesion instead of looking for diversities. It's a long way...
@Cyricist0013 жыл бұрын
@@charlieranger4598 There was no way after WW1 to stay independent, Serbia and Italy both had claims as victors on large parts of our territory, and the leftovers would have been and easily taken over by anyone that tried. Well, we saw cohesion between common people after the earthquakes of 2020/21, but the government managed to bungle its part. Winter is approaching and the politicians haven't even started discussing how to keep theses folks warm, just like they failed to buy them air conditioners on time during the summer heat wave.

Your videos bring me so much joy! Thank you so much for doing this. I'm a third-generation Croatian American and it saddens me how so much culture disappeared in my family so fast. But!!! You showed me that the fear of drafts and ALWAYS wearing house slippers of some kind is from the old country, and I'm so happy to know it :-) Thank you, Sarah & Ivan! Your kids are so adorable, too! I've seen all your videos and each one is a gem. Keep up the amazing work!

Love my hometown, it is always nice to see other people find it interesting and beautiful too :) I only wish I could visit the place more often to see my friends and family since I moved years ago. Did not knew they put elevators from Zerostrasse to Kaštel, that is awesome! Last time I was in there, half of the tunels you show in this video were still closed for the public and were being renovated. Thank you for the great video! BTW, your kids are so nice and cute!

Croatia is nice but if you were born there you see it differently. The main places to visit tourist places are always maintained, and where people visit while coming on holidays, the other part of Croatia is abandoned. People around the world pay little attention to the history of Croatia it isn’t all that beautiful.

Nice video for the architectural beauty of the city. You and your family are lovely! But the true Pola died in 1947 when all the Italian people (about 99% in downtown Pula) was force by violence to leave their land for ever. Now it's Pula. Long life to Pula but it has nothing to do with our beloved Pola.
