I'm in SE North Carolina and fortunately have a good view of the planets as they move higher in the morning sky.

We always enjoy these posts, very informative, thank you. I assume you gents probably avoid getting into which telescopes, and equipment you use, but as you’ve mentioned what’s visible with the naked eye, I wonder if mentioning ideal scopes from time to time might add some education. My wife and I have tried to (within reason) compliment each other’s capability, with her buying a Celestron C8, and me a Vixen 103, and a couple of good sets of binoculars, but we’re still learning the sky. We’ve found that in some ways Plaides is more pleasant with the binoculars and lower power. So we were very intrigued by your discussion on M13 and M3……and what type of scope/aperture you’d suggest to optimise the viewing of them?

The Best time to see the planet parade with all the planets is on the 13 of June when Mercury and Uranus join in

Also as per Mercury,is it north of the Sun and therefor looks higher above the horizon than if it were not as far north? Getting near the Summer Solstice ?

??? Vega looks brighter to me than Arcturus also I remember Betelgeuse can still be seen on May 1 from mid latitude USA but you need to get out soon after sunset and with just a few more days it gets harder and harder to see ---then a long wait until it comes back as a morning object next season ---one of the most eye catching stars because it sometimes seems brighter than other times--the brightest average of all of the variable stars? And subject in the popular press of speculation that it may explode?

I've tried for M13 naked eye 👁️ but failed. The only globulars I've seen naked eye are 47 Toucana and Omega Centauri although Omega Centauri might not be a globular but the remains of a little galaxy.I think that M22 is Sagittarius might we'll be naked eye but it's low from England.M's2,3,4,5,10,12,15,22 of the Messier globulars might just be possible naked eye under very dark skies.Problem with globulars is they are small unlike open clusters of similar magnitudes.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
