I have been searching for a manometer to measure the flue draft .. then I came across your excellent video .. complete with the name and model number . Well done . I am in the final castings stage of my own afterburn version of the GLOWSTOVE LIKE NO OTHER.. I am using 8 x 30mm o/d 80cm long tubes in the afterburn chamber and another 17 Stainless steel tubes in the pre flue exit chamber .

Very helpful, thank you. I have tried using a water gauge but the difference is only 1 to 2 millimeters so is quite difficult to read. I'll try to get one of these manometers

yes very helpful thanks, I installed a wood burner and had no draught at all , tried a temporary 2 meter flue extension which made no difference so had to resort to fan which isn't the way I wanted to go but needs be! still have a few ideas i.e. different cowls, could you tell me if the 12 to 25 pascals is the D.P. whilst the fire is burning ?

@@robertdowd464 I real could not say? what stove is it? do you have out side air feed into the fire? how long is your flue ? how is it insulated? why do you have a cowl? chat soon. Kevin

Oh, dear. Installing that fitting for outdoor combustion air is probably a bad idea. Most wood stoves are designed to carefully regulate combustion air to maximize efficiency and reduce pollution. And controlling the amount of combustion air controls how fast combustion takes place ----too much air can produce too big and too hot of a fire you have, which ca damage the stove and perhaps start a fire. And if you look carefully in the manual for the stove, there is probably directions on how to feed outside combustion air into the stove and avoid all these problems. What is the make and model of the stove? But good video on measuring the draft. I keep a thermometer that has a probe stuck into the flue pipe of my stove and find it useful for managing the fire.
