Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

Been fishing since before I can remember - the ‘crickhopper’ lure (mimics a cricket), is the one I would never go without. I’ve had the best luck with the brownish or natural color of the insect. Fishing around stream rocks or rocky shores will drive almost anything with fins into a frenzy.

Megabass Diamonte in the sexy shad or pearl colors are amazing whenever bass are schooling on bait fish. The weight distribution is weighted so that the rearend is heavier and makes the head of the lure sit up. It looks like a baitfish half in and out of the water. Walking it with the pop, pop; pop, pop, pause, is insane. Tyler, as always thank you for the info and high quality content.

This is what I've always wanted to see - someone describing the "science" of fishing. Everyone I've ever talked to or watched basically describes it as an art. Which I guess it is in part but there is definitely a science to it. And you don't live _that_ far away from me (Arkansas), so I imagine a lot of things are pretty similar - not identical - but similar enough to extrapolate. And God, buzzbaits frustrate me. I've seen people catch fish after fish with them and I think in my 35 years, I've caught exactly one fish with them...

With that being said my pb LMB and SMB to date have both been caught in the city in the most pressured water. I got dialed into that looking for 1 big bite frame of mind fishing water that I knew/know holds giants but are extremely difficult to catch.

I went fishing and used a wake bait. A nice smallie crushed. As time passed I've realized to catch big ones you work lure moderate and slow. As stated they get this big due to survival adaptation. What I mean is fish learns it doesn't have to work as hard when food is plentiful. That's why if birds are picking off baitfish the fish are below picking off the injured ones. Also, they hide in brush grass drops and cover to ambush near by foliage.

Quick question Tyler. Yesterday I was throwing a popper on my spinning reel with 30lb braid, and a loop knot of course, but I got line twists every other cast. Should I use a swivel or is it because I'm reeling in slack?
@TylersReelFishing2 жыл бұрын
Hmm, I’m not sure. That might help, but I’m not usually a fan of added terminal tackle if it’s not needed. Is your popper turning over when you’re popping it? That’s all I could think of that’s causing that

@@TylersReelFishing I don't believe so but I'll definitely check it out. I've notices anytime I do the twitch, twitch, pause cadence my line twists when I'm reeling and I get a gnarly tangle by the spool. I'm going to try and switch to my baitcaster.
