Most likely due to how horrible it was programmed, unlike the Sega Smash Pack and Virtual Console emulator. this emulator does not like the 3D Stage, meaning most games will crash like Virtua Racing and even games like John Madden Football 93 and there is also a small chance it can read Sonic 3 and knuckles which sucks, and you can’t save

If you press a b right a c a down a b right a on the press start screen it unlocks a level skip

I know, but it skips each level like the “NEXT” button on a DVD remote rather than like entering numbers on a DVD remote. You can’t do pause+A fast enough to skip Really Inside the Claw Machine.

What r u talking about? There’s no credits. You never get to the credits because the console can’t handle the 3d levels towards the end. Also the title screen music uses the DAC voice chip that’s why it’s somewhat normal

Just did some research and DAC is the wrong term in this situation. Those songs are being played off an Amiga sound chip, which is in the cartridge, hence the correct sound on AtGames.

This is the first Genesis game that I got when I got the ATGames Genesis for Christmas (The one with Mortal Kombat included). The video quality on my system isn't bad and it come sout good with my Roxio VHS to DVD capture card. Some other things to note through what I have bought is that the Game Genie runs, but resets as if there's nothing inserted, Most sports games run that I'm aware of (Not sure of any sports games that don't work), Sega Super Scalers surprising works as evident when I got Super Hang On, NBA Jam and Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition work flawlessly but their updated versions don't work, and Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures works but there's some missing music and sounds. Not of my experience, Zero Tollerance works surprisingly, Virtua Racer is a no go, Homebrew games are a mixed bag as some work and others don't, Phantasy Star 3 and maybe 4 doesn't work but the others in the series does, and yeah.

It just shows a “for use with PAL Megadrives only” screen when inserted into an NTSC console, even an AtGames.

It would still crash on Really Inside the Claw Machine, but the password system would help jump to Sid’s Workbench. I wish someone would make a reproduction cartridge of the game but with a sound test modded into the options menu. I don’t want to shell out money on a PAL Toy Story, PAL AtGames, and PAL to NTSC converter just to still not be able to hear The Claw.

Also, Can you try out some other hardware pushing games like Gunstar Heroes, Hard Driving, and Red Zone? I'm compiling a compatibility list since I can't find one online.

I’ve got a couple games made by the same developer of Gunstar Heroes. They are McDonald’s Treasure Land Adventure and Dynamite Headdy. I have recorded AtGames gameplay of both of those but haven’t uploaded them.

It is a VHS tape that has been recorded onto multiple times, so you could say that. However, it looks less bad when being viewed analog rather than digitally copied.

but I’d need a PAL to NTSC converter, PAL Toy Story, and PAL AtGames. I still wouldn’t be able to hear what the second and third claw levels sound like on AtGames because the passwords only come after you’ve defeated a boss.
