LOVELY FINDS!! THE POTTERY YOU LEFT BEHIND WITH THE BRAMBLES AND BLACKBERRIES ON IT, WAS MY FAVORITE. I PICTURED FLOWERS INSIDE AND ADORNED ON A TABLE OR DESK. ANYWAYS, I LIKE THE EGG CUP AND THE BLUE BOTTLE. SO PRETTY. THE LADY FLAPPER IS GORGEOUS AND QUAINT. BOTH OF YOU HAVE QUITE THE EYE FOR SPOTTING TREASURES. THANKS AND I HOPE THE CAT IS DOING WELL. STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY AND 🙏 BLESSED ❤❤

I truly don't care what you girls post. You could film yourselves washing dishes, your Tea Time, cleaning your bathroom...anything you do is endearing to me. I have watched you for years now, and I absolutely Love, Respect and Trust You Both. Thanks for your time and interests. You and Fluer and Kate are my very Favorite Mudlarks. Guess it's the Mother/ Daughter thing I crave. Actually it's just the Love and History you all show. Blessings, Barb in Oklahoma.

The egg cup with integral mini saucer is from Longpark Pottery in Torquay (there were other Devon potteries producing similar mottoware eg Allervale & Watcombe) & always hand painted. It was very popular back in the day. They also made pieces with place names (popular holiday souvenirs!), and sometimes longer quaint mottos & poems, always hand written sgraffito- style. I love them!

Hi .. I have an egg cup almost the same as that though mine has a boat design with Looe written on it.. and the motto is "Theres a time for all things" The stamp on the bottom of mine says Watcombe Torquay, Royal England ... I think yours is earlier and the words on the bottom, well the second one is definitely Torquay. I see from other comments it's a particular type of souvenir pottery ... interesting to know. Shame, I saw a whole tea set of it in a charity shop recently.. but didn't buy it 😢 tbh I couldn't justify it, though I absolutely loved it ... thanks for all the great finds and info. The pepper pot theme ! .. you couldn't make it up 😂

Hellooo, I have a tiny Marmite sample bottle (not a screw top) that my dad found years ago in an old dump in Kimberley, South Africa. It seems that the people in Kimberley during Edwardian times lived off of Marmite, Bovril, Holbrooks sauces and Eno's - the bulk of the bottle finds are those. Love your adventures, thank you for sharing.

Hi ladies, the egg cup looks like Torquay Motto ware. Made by a group of potteries in Soth Devon. They used the red terracotta clay local to the area and decorated the pottery with steam slip and wax resist mottos and sayings. It's very collectable and has inspired modern potters such as Emma Bridgewater. The brass cone could be a candle snuffer... love your videos a nd look forward to my weekend s

Your brass (?) cone looks like a tip used for icing. Wilton make one that looks very similar. They call it the “Number 1 - Round” decorating tip. Very exciting and so evocative to find one. Oh the stories that it could tell us of the cakes it decorated and the individuals that it would have celebrated. Fantastic. P.s legend has it that when Vegemite was first made people were still incredibly loyal to marmite. So from 1928 to 1935 the manufacturer changed the name of Vegemite to Par-will as a play on the original Mar-mite 🤣 The advertising slogans were something like - If Ma might, Pa will. 🤣 lol By 1935 the new product had captured the Australian market and the name was changed back to Vegemite. When I was growing up in Australia I remember that a school friend had something called Promite that was similar to Vegemite but slightly different. That then became the debate in the playground. What was your favourite? Promite or Vegemite?

Heck, I love everything you find. I get so excited when you find all this neat stuff. I watch you guys, saying to my self all through the video pick it up, oh please take that. And you usually do. I was force-fed Vegemite as a child growing up in Australia in the 60s. As the jingle went... "It puts a rose in every cheek" and was considered a health food, so my mother was going to make us eat it. My brother loved it, but to this day, I cannot stand Vegemite. Now that I think back, I never saw my Scottish mum eat it. But she would have grown up with Marmite. The half doll is one of the sweetest finds I have seen. Thank you for sharing.

Brilliant finds this week ladies. That horse stirrup you founf was a boot scraper i think. It would have probably have had two metal spikes that stuck in the ground. So you could scrape mud off your boots. I loved the salt/pepper pot container. That was really quite pretty. I couldn't believe it when Alex found a lid. I actually said to myself...bet that'll fit the pot Gail just found. And hay ho, it did. 😊 Oh and then that beautiful 20's figure with the flapper outfit. Head band and beads... I do hope you fix her up and repair her. She's so lovely. I'd love to see you fix her. I dont know what the spout was used for, but i do like the idea of it being used for pouring oil from a bottle. One that could be removed and replaced by a lid,or cork, when not in use. Such an interesting lark. Thanks ladies. Enjoyed that. 😊Xx
